Several people come to mind, but they are really respected by mostly the subcultures they are apart of. The most universally respected person I know is my uncle.

I don’t know why, and he’s my uncle. There is nothing extraordinary about him but he is the type of guy who could walk into a bar anywhere in the United States and by the end of the night he’s gotten several phone numbers, made new guy friends and the bartender is giving him free drinks because he’s so cool.

He is a walking sports encyclopedia. Ask him who won the Super Bowl any year that he has been alive he will tell you the score, super bowl mvp and best players on the team.

He is fat, big beer belly, head full of gray and still the best wing man i know because people just love him. You would really have to see it to believe it, it’s incredible. The dude has super natural social skills.

My grandmother raised me, so I grew up in the same house as him. In his prime (early 20s) I literally watched him bring home a different girl 5 out of 7 nights a week. (grandma had a basement apartment with a full bathroom and kitchen which became his when he was in his 20’s, so it was like his own apartment)

And the coolest thing about him? He is the reason I have 0 approach anxiety. At 13 he took me to the mall and literally taught me how to approach girls.
I know no one else who had that experience. He was a pickup artist before pickup artists were cool, this was almost 20 years ago.

The Lord. He is the very definition of 'perfect'.
God doesn't exist. There is no evidence that he does. In fact his whole persona is man made. His desire to be worshipped by us is a human trait. An omnipotent being would never look to mortals for.adulation. The concepts of love, desire, adulation and ultimately being worshipped are all human.

For all my life... until a few years ago, I had really respected Ralph Nader.
Lately though, he reminds of that cool band that once did their own thing.. to later sell out in hopes of gaining more popularity.
Trump is now doing a lot of the principled things that Ralph once stood for, but instead of Ralph Nader giving praise, he's now turned into
a trump-hater conformist.
What a shame. Ralph Nader was once a man worthy of so much respect.

you are quoting a passage from scripture written by someone you don’t know. This doesn’t prove the existence of God. The Japanese believe their Emperor is a divine being, Buddhists believe the Dalai Lama is a descendant from Buddha. There is no evidence to prove that any of this is true. If you were born and grew up in the Middle East, guess what religion you would most likely believe in?

Yet you have made a God-like, omniscient statement that "there is no God".

It is intellectually honest for one to say that they don't think there is a God, but to categorically declare that there is not God, as if one is God himself (omniscient) is the epitome of foolishness.

I know many Japanese, former Buddhists, former Jews, and former Muslims who are now Christians. Your mind is slammed shut, which always, without fail, blinds a man to learning things he hadn't considered before.

My view is that the observation of design demands a Designer. All of creation screams out that there must have been a Creator.

The bible says that humankind's driving tendency is to suppress the truth. In so doing, men declare themselves as god, as in their view they are the arbiters of morality and that which is right and wrong.

You think there is no God, and that is fair, but you cannot in any honest way say that you know there is no God.

Quite the baddazz wasn't he.
Wifehunter these debates are fruitless endeavours. Religion and politics are ego feeders to most people.
St. Paul clearly outlined this. My wife is a Buddhist and i dont judge her. Thats were she comes from.
Besides Jesus was more Buddhist to me then Catholic lol.
There is no debate. :)

still its don't make god as being true, or religion as a way to be protected by said god.

religion is nothing more then a mass control tool, same for soccer, football, or any sport who can be used as a ways to take most population mind of the issues, bread and blood guys, also take note politics are today some kind of religion, everything think and belive they are right and ignore facts they are wrong.

anything works as long it make yourself feel better

Aside from Jesus, who I believe to be in his own category having a divine nature, I really can't think of many living people who I have deep respect for. Most of my respect goes to great men of the past. People like Theodore Roosevelt, Ben Franklin, Abe Lincoln, etc. I could go on and on with great men who have contributed to the world, most of who overcame great odds. They all had glaring faults of course, but they also achieved great things for the betterment of mankind.

I just now thought of a young man who I respect. He is seriously disabled but is a true overcomer. This is just a random video from his YT channel:

My paternal grandfather. Everyone who knew him said that when he was in your presence, you had to stand up at attention out of respect. People would be sitting in the grass at university, and as soon as they see him stand up and clean themselves off. Serious dude, way too real for this life. No smiling, hardly ever lol.

He was born in 1920, and his dad died when he was 14. The dude basically had to work to feed his family—5 sisters & 1 mother. Since he was the only man of the family, he was the sole provider. I believe they had a business that their dad had left for them (though I’m not 100% on this, have to ask my dad, but I’m pretty sure), and he had to work in that.

However, he wasn’t a business type of man; it’s just not who he was and he wasn’t good at it. Because of that, he struggled. He sat down with himself and came to realize that the only way that he could really survive is through school and education. Everyone who ever knew him always said that he was very serious and never really smiled. It was likely at this point, where he had that conversation with himself, that everything changed and he became the way he was.

He was still working essentially full time (or perhaps even more) while still in high school, and studied really hard. After high school, he went to University of Damascus and graduated from their medical school there and worked as a physician for a little while to make enough money as a physician in Syria to support his family. However, Syria’s medical school at the time wasn’t recognized by the rest of the world, and he wanted more. At the end of 1960, he went to then-University of Paris in Sorbonne, which since then had split up into several other institutions, with the largest/main successor being the Paris-Sorbonne University, which had also split up into a bunch of other institutions in 2018 (with the largest one being Sorbonne University).

I’m pretty sure the dude graduated top of his class too just because he already knew everything and also because of how hard he worked. Also because France didn’t want him to leave lol, they actually offered him triple his salary if he were to come back to France and stay there instead of Syria.

But yeah, he had his official MD from France in general surgery, plastic surgery, and otolaryngology (ENT), and also had a PhD in Anatomy. Again, he got these degrees from FRANCE, bc while he did have the degrees in Syria, it didn’t mean anything to the rest of the world. Idk how tf he did all that either but **** it, I ain’t asking questions.

When he came back to Syria in 1966, he worked in his profession(s) and I believe every Tuesday and Thursday he would set aside for poorer people who didn’t have money and they could exchange chickens and lambs and **** for service instead, or he’d just treat them for free cuz like he was just that guy.

He also taught as a professor at University of Damascus and reorganized their medical department, and became what I believe was the first Dean of Medicine, and then had the medical school certified by UNESCO, which is basically an organization apart of the United Nations to ensure education quality. He had Damascus University Faculty of Medicine (name of the medical school) ranked as one of the top medical universities in the world at the time. It is formally recognized by the UN/UNESCO, ECFMG, IMED, FAIMER, and the WHO (World Health Organization).

He would wake up early in the morning (~4:30 AM) to conduct studies of his own on carcasses and skeletons and whatnot, and would go so far as to study the biochemical mechanisms involved in the human body that were known at the time. Dude still taught at the university, and had his own medical practice(s). He was known to be the best doctor in pretty much all of the Middle East, and was one of the best doctors for his time. Most older Arabs know who he is.

In 1963, Syria had undergone a coup d’état, for which the Ba’ath party had consolidated power for themselves in a one-party system. When Hafiz Al-Assad took power, he ensured that he would rule until his death. Most Syrians had already disliked the Ba’ath Party for their coup, and this was another reason for it. Many voices their political dissent, including my grandfather, and because of that, he was imprisoned in 1979 at Tadmor military prison, the worst prison in the world (which had since then been destroyed allegedly by ISIS). He was there for 1 year and 4 months. However, because he was well-known, the then-King Khalid of Saudi Arabia wrote a formal letter requesting his release (cuz like the dude was *actually* that important).

Interesting to note is that he had been personally requested by a government official while in prison to treat either himself or a relative as he was the only doctor who was knowledgeable enough to do it. He was escorted away from the prison to treat the person. While he was gone, there was a failed assassination attempt on the life of the Rifaat Al-Assad, who was the brother of the then-President Hafiz Al-Assad. The next day after the assassination attempt, personal soldiers of Rifaat Al-Assad murdered everyone in the prison via shootings, tortures (use your imagination—they sure did), grenades, etc. There was only one survivor, and they hung him afterwards. When my grandfather went back, he recounted how he saw the meat of human tissue everywhere. They didn’t even do this stuff in the Holocaust.

After he got out, thanks to King Khalid, he he was not allowed to retain his position at Damascus University Faculty of Medicine and was replaced by some random Aliwite piece of scum**** ****y **** who wasn’t anything that could even be considered to being considered being remotely close to having the medical knowledge of my grandfather.

He died I believe in 1996.

Everyone is certainly entitled to their opinion. I heard a respected math matician say once that the equivalent to our existence by chance is equal to the odds of a 747 crashing then putting itself back together again.
It didn’t. Spacetime did not exist yet for the Big Bang to have been created by quantum fluctuation. And the fact that the Big Bang created spacetime means that whatever created the Big Bang is timeless. Many of these new-age atheists think they’re so smart saying that God couldn’t have just existed forever. But yet at the same time, they fail to realize that time did not exist before the Big Bang.

Not just that, but we have evidence of a worldwide flood that happened with Noah’s Ark thanks to Graham Hancock, and he was completely lambasted by archaeologists around the world for having proved his theory correct because it gives credibility to religion.

Even more than, these retards tote science like it’s the holy grail of truth but fail to realize how easily manipulated science is and that it’s subject to the bias based off of paradigm the era is in. This is why we are having a major replicability crisis right now—70% of new scientific sicoveries is bull**** because that 70% is unable to be found anywhere else.

Oh yeah, and they believe in evolution too. Idiots. Modern Cell Theory completely goes against evolution, not to mention giant skeleton discoveries being covered up. Plus, abiogenesis is a theoretical impossibility. All they gotta do is look up James Tour and see what he has to say about it; he’s one of the top ten best organic chemists in the world. I’m no longer a believer in science as a dogma anymore. My instincts and intuition has always been much better.
