Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."
You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.
She's been waiting forty minutes.
Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.
Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.
You've been "getting ready" for two years.
She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.
Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.
She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.
Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.
The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.
That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?
She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."
She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.
I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.
Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.
They do want a wife. They are just in butthurt mode right now. Most are just one ******* away from being so called blue pilled.skinnyguy said:Honestly I don't want to end up 40 and single.
That seems like hell to me. What am I going to do - troll POF and the bars every weekend? Live like a 22 year old?
Family can bring great joy in life if you want it. If you just want to slay HB's your whole life that's fine, but if you're single in your 40's you'll be damn lonely. Also people will think there is something wrong with you and it will hinder your advancement at work. Having a wife is social proof. 100% of the people I work for are married and they make much more money than I do.
Unless, of course, she leaves you. Then there's actually negative value in it. :crackup:Last of the Alphas said:I do think, however, there is value in finding someone to spend your life with when the time is right.
Damn, pessimistic much?mikey2012 said:Lol. If your life revolves around family/kids you will surely be fuked coz unless you are rich you will probably lose your job when you are in your 40s with your kids still around 10 so you will have to grind it out somewhere untl they are 18 then when they are you will be around 50 and they would have left you maybe phone you on your birthday and you will be unemployed and miserable with a wife that hates you coz you can't provide for her.. With her ultimately divorcing you...
That's why I just cohabitate with my girlfriend, and won't get married.Zarky said:Divorce is one of the top wealth destroyers.
Or maybe you are one of these guys who thinks he can be so "alpha" that his wife will never leave him. Lol, again, get back to us in 20 years.Zarky said:Of course, if you're one of the guys who thinks he can "marry well," "be a good husband," and ensure that his wife will never leave him... get back to us in 20 years![]()
You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.
She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.
Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.
Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.
Yeah same here. I really enjoy my freedom & independence.guru1000 said:I'm 40, divorced, and loving life right now ...
