I've had an enormous amount of financial success over the past couple years, especially since 2021. My investments have taken off and I'm rapidly seeing ever increasing results from all of my time, energy and resources that I've put into this. I've been comfortable for quite a long time but aggressively investing, up to $500 per week. I'm able to throw all this money in from working just about every single day, I have a few different things going on right now, and also getting dividends on top of all of this that are quite a bit, enough to cover the cost of a studio apartment in my area. This is something that I've been doing for a while but I really got hyper focused when COVID first began, I just saw it as an opportunity to take it to the next level.

However, I've been experiencing something very new lately and I'm not sure what to do. Over the past few months I've been having all of these feelings about wanting to cut back on how much I work and spending more time enjoying life. I already have time available to go to the gym and do a bit of other outdoor activities and recently been playing some poker at the casino with some early success, though nothing that is at all a big deal to me financially. I took an extra day off this week and I noticed I felt guilty for not using the day to help reach my goals and being productive. I honestly don't really spend money on anything outside of essentials, though I will admit I do spend a good amount on groceries, I eat pretty good. However, I'll think nothing of investing tons of money but then buying myself something or going on a small vacation bothers me. Again, thoughts like "that time could be used towards getting closer to your goals and the money you will spend is counterproductive".

A part of me wants to cut back and give myself some more free time and enjoy life a little more but I haven't hit my goals. On a very deep level this bothers me and I feel guilty and almost like a loser if I was to do this. The other week I was at the bank and the guy in front of me was asking for his balance and he literally had less than $1 in his checking and savings. This immediately reignited my fire to keep my grind going but I'm still internally craving a change, more happiness, etc.

Don’t sacrifice your life quality to gain money. A good life balance is needed when the scale is tilted too far in one direction.
Your mind is starting to tell you that.
I'm healthy physically and not having any issues with that but emotionally I am beginning to notice these feelings of wanting to cut back. This began during COVID, the gyms were closed and there was nothing else I could really do that I enjoyed so I developed a habit of essentially working as much as possible. I mean, given the time period it made sense, what else was I going to do besides just sit in front of a t.v all day lol.

Definitely cut back and start to emphasize your woman life more. You're 6'4" and muscular. Part of the point of being 6'4" and muscular is to enjoy sex with some of the most attractive women out there.

A percentage of your money and time should be used for leisure/vacations

Money is just a means to an end, man.

The question to ask is- why do you want to earn this money? What is the ultimate purpose?
I do have an ultimate purpose for this.

When I was young, around 13, I was stuck in traffic going into a major metro city that I grew up near. Anyway, I asked out loud "Why do people do this every single day?" and the response was by a middle aged adult "people have to pay the bills". At that age I had learned that living a life like that day in and day out for literally your entire existence was not something that I wanted for myself. Most people get up early for some job they have no passion for, often times they even hate it, spend a bunch of time getting to and from there. In addition to all of this, these people are still struggling to get by financially, and if they aren't they don't really have all that much left. They have little time or energy to pursue things that actually interest them, this is why I feel that the "mid life crisis" is a real thing, because people hit a certain point and thoughts/feelings of "damn, I just spent the past couple decades working in some career I hate and I haven't even enjoyed life". I'm basing this all of off things I've seen over the years, I'm not saying this is a rule for everyone.

My current goal is this, I'm trying to hit multi millionaire status within the next 5 years or so. I'm already well above average with my net worth for my age and feel that this is doable, though obviously I don't have complete control over it. The reason why I'm looking to do this is so that I can 100% be free from the system and can legitimately do whatever I want. I don't have very high materialistic needs, so my relative cost of living is and can be quite low. I value not having to be stuck in some b.s job, I value my free time and wanting to pursue my interests, hobbies, etc. Granted, I already have some time for that now but I want to enjoy this lifestyle to the fullest I can. I don't need a Ferrari, expensive watches and clothes, a yacht or some mansion. I feel that things like this are just flaunting wealth to people that you are trying to impress that really should not be around at all. I have no interest in attracting a bunch of fake gold digging women, or male social climbers looking to get a leg up on life by spending time around me.

LOL I don't know if that's the "point", that's mostly just genetics lol.

The genetics helped with the 6'4" part. Your own weightlifting helped with the muscular part. When you're 6'4" and muscular, it is best to enjoy being 6'4" and muscular by pounding the vaginas of the best looking women in your city. As @Zimbabwe says, no one wishes they spent more time working and in the office. White collar work is mostly bullshiit. Get out there and enjoy the vagina.

Good for you for not having a white collar job. Blue collar jobs are more meaningful but work is work. Work isn't a great way to go through life.

In a certain way, I wish I didn't have an advanced degree and a white collar job. Growing up, a lot of my natural abilities seemed to be a strong fit for white collar type work. There was never a trade occupation that I strongly considered or seemed to have a great natural ability to do.

People take the whole work hard thing overboard. Start traveling the world and meeting new women. Think about this logically, 3-4 nice vacations a year your looking at what 5-7 grand a year? is an extra 5 grand a year in the bank going to change your life?

Prioritize. Money is great to have but it also has a purpose. Think about what you want in your life and revolve around that.

You need to create multiple sources of income; not saving your life smaller, but investing into your life to make it bigger.

I am in a similar place. I run my own real estate business and am on path to becoming wealthy. I also find myself working long hours, letting my house get messy, and not reaping the benefits of wealthy lifestyle because I am always working and reinvest all my income. When I take a break or sleep in, I feel like I am failing at my purpose. Right now, I spend most of my time physically renovating properties. My goal is to hire people to do the physical work, and I can use what I learned renovating to project manage.

Working long hours can easily stress you out.. I would ask, do you enjoy what you are doing? Do you do a lot of menial work that could be passed off to employees/outsourced? Do you have goals to work towards when you would pull back on your workload? How many hours are you working a week?

I think we tend to neglect social goals. I am doing very well with physical, financial, and mental development, but I am trying to prioritize getting into more social settings.

Blue collar jobs are more meaningful
Depends on what the job is.... Some blue collar jobs are just being treated as a slave. There's nothing meaningful about scraping automotive adhesives that were punctured out of a 100 gallon barrel onto the floor of a 100 degree room to keep said adhesives thin enough to use.

I live in the S.W part of the U.S and could do some pretty awesome trips within driving distance without having to spend all that much money at all. I'm not really huge into travelling, but I really would like to have more time to go play poker, watch movies but I really want to find a hot chick and go lay some serious pipe a couple nights per week.

Life is not all about money, I totally agree. I started this addiction about 2 years ago and literally was nonstop, the results speak for itself. However, I feel I'm getting to a point now where I can let everything just take it's natural course and I'll still be growing.

That's interesting that you say that because my kitchen was getting super messy and I'm just thinking "this is ridiculous".

OP, you sound like you have your priorities in order and I admire your motivation. It's very easy to feel guilty over taking a break or not going full speed all the time. I basically look at down time and relaxing as part of my plan, not separate from it. I can't accomplish my goals without leisure to keep me fresh minded. By adopting this mindset, I don't have guilt over how I budget my time. At the end of the day I tell myself: day's over, I did everything I could today, tomorrow's a new one. As for spending the money on small things or vacations, just look at them like self-given bonuses - you earned them with your toil. Good employers offer perks all the time because psychologically it keeps workers motivated. A lot of this is just shifting the paradigm.

I think there is a difference between purely menial type labor jobs (oil change technician, laborer at construction site hauling all day, etc.) and that of more skilled trades (electrician, automotive, carpentry, etc.). Let's say you are an electrician, you go and install a bunch of ceiling fans, lights, etc. At the end of the day you can see a concrete result of your time and effort. When a lot of people are in more white collar type jobs, or even just menial type work, they don't really see any real result from their efforts in front of them like that and they are just getting a paycheck. I feel that men tend to be happier when there are results for their time and effort, when this is not the case men feel unappreciated or not bringing value. I'm not really sure how to explain this but I feel every man understands what I'm talking about.
