I think that would be a nice addition to the website. Some sort of chat function where you can IM in real time rather than send PMs or update an existing thread. I don't know if a function like that is compatible with the framework of the site or not, but I think it would be a good idea. Anyone else think so?

If my memory serves correctly, the site had a chat function back in the early 2000s, but it was a pain in the ass to moderate. Members here have started their own sosuave chatrooms over the years, so feel free to start one if you'd like.

Penkitten used to have one on ICQ, but that was years ago.

Haha, penkitten... it must have been a LOOOOONNNGGGG time since you were in there then. It was basically me and two other guys, and the last time more than one person was in there at a time was probably December.

yah.... it has been a very long time.
there was a video chat going in a different room by a different member. i don't think it is still happening either.
