"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

I meet this chick at a football game, and I gotta say I've never had things click and run so smoothly before. I was almost positive I had her very interested. She wasn't leaving my side to talk to anyone else and was asking me to walk with her to the food stands so she won't be alone, and giving me some of her food as a reward. Talking about some sexual stuff with me, laughing a lot, and I was just getting all kinds of positive signs.

One of her friends is over near us and she mentions some guy she apparently has the hots for has shown up. She leaves me immediately and goes over to him. This pisses me off a bit since I thought this might be a deathblow and I just leave the area and go talk to some friends.

Like a minute later she comes back over and apologizes for "ditching me". (This seemed kind of wierd to me since we weren't even there together, we were just talking and crap) Then she says "You understand, on one hand the guy I like, on the other" and looks at me. I don't see how I can interpret that as good.... so at that point I'm thinking "next'. Yet she doesn't leave my side for the rest of the game, and is still giving me good signs and asking questions about me. I was a bit pissed off because I felt like I'd wasted a good hour flirting and chatting her up, so I kept kind of moving around every once and awhile to get away from her and she kept coming to talk to me. Then when I'm about to leave she is hanging on me telling me she doesn't want me to go.....

What to make of this? I'm thinking I might have just made her backup or something since apparently this guy doesn't like her too much if he only talked to her for like a minute then went away or something. (I'm not sure why she came back to me so soon after leaving) Maybe I'm in even better then I'm thinking and she was the one who left him after a minute to come back and talk to me. The whole "On one hand the guy I like, on the other you" thing really threw me off. Everything else said go.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

Since you were actually there, I'll let you decide wether she was really interested.

I would have said that she was just a Don Juanita up until what she told you when she got back. Set something up and see where this goes.

That's why when I see a girl I know or like , I never stay around her for more than 10 minutes at a time unless she follows me.

Next time you're around her, ditch her and come back and say the same sh*t she said about "I like the other (girl) but you on the other hand......"

other than that, don't get mad over it.

Remember, never put all your eggs in one basket. Happy Easter.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.
