"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

Haha, sounds like she wants to make you all a happy fvcking family again. I don't know if I should envy you or feel sorry for you.

My ex seems to be planning her second wedding. Divorce papers are apparently making their way to me. I wish him all the best with her, and I wish her all the best with him. They're both total fvck ups who deserve each other. The way I see it, it's less pollution in the dating pool. But given their history, they'll be going out fishing after dark when the other isn't watching.
I got invited to a "divorce party"by a buddy's new girlfriend. Then in the middle of telling all of us about it, she says, now I can give myself to buddy and start planning my next wedding! The silence was beyond awkward.

Well as far as my ex goes, when we split it was because of her drug use, lies, theft and infidelity. I helped her get her sh1t together for my daughters sake after I got over being angry. I remained cordial and polite. We still did things together. We both took care of our daughter and went to all of her kid type stuff together. We would even go out for dinner every now and then. I told her if she wanted to date and needed me to babysit when it wasn't my weekend, I had no problem with that. People couldn't believe how well we got on.

I think she thinks it's gonna go back to that. That I'll be the fallback guy until the next guy comes along. Sorry love. You're the reason I'm broke as **** and working every weekend. Deal with it.

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

Dear MDJ,
The legal system wont help you in a situation like this, and so bad laws deserve to be broken, certainly where your kids are concerned....The squeezing out of MEN like you is one of the reasons that your great Nation is having such enormous problems....Clint Eastwood would be proud of you mate!

We men should start doing background checks on women.
Back in the day that was pretty common place. People would register at their local church, and the notice would be up for a couple months. That'd give anybody time to speak up if something wasn't right.

Some churches still carry some kind of 'impending nuptials' section in their weekly bulletin for that reason.

Friend of my got married to a girl in the Philippines, where the Catholic church is still pretty strong, and they had to go through lots of paperwork to make sure everything was on the up and up.

I suppose a socially aware fellow could easily do a background check just to make sure. Nobody would know. Probably wouldn't cost much.

Girls do that to guys all the time, at least using Google.

Caveat emptor.

Sounds like she might actually a better parent than my ex is. Last Tuesday, I rushed down to the school from an out-of-town job just to make a meeting with my kid's new teacher. The bytch decided to start the meeting without me and I got there just as they were finishing up. After the meeting, she pulls me aside and says, "If you have any idea what to send him for lunch, please inform me because I have no clue." I'm thinking: WTF have you been feeding him for the last two years? Looks like my kid's going to be stuck with chocolate Mini Wheats every day for lunch when he's with her.

Thank god there's teachers at the school who have figured out she's a lousy parent.

Why don't I help her? Because every time I've filled her in about what he's eating, it just went in one ear and out the other. She always reverts back to taking the easy way out by feeding him garbage.

It's really difficult when you know you're the better parent and know more about your child than his mother, but society's view on the father in a broken marriage is that he's a clueless bastard who's job is to try and look good by being there. The roles are reverse in this situation and it's a pain in the ass trying to get the teachers to take me seriously.

Yeah dude, her message sounded really manipulative. "I want something from you, so I'm going to charm you and tell you how much I've matured." I don't know what the right answer here is though. Good luck.

That's exactly how I felt. Which is why I only replied to the part that really mattered to me and my life, which is the fact that I'm working saturday.I'll be out in the field on shoots so I can't carry a kid in tow. If I was sitting in the office editing it would be no problem.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

You totally sounded like a b!tch, who would right from the bat see through the manipulative moves of an approaching beta and shoot him down ....

My point was ... women do this all the time. They see the real intentions behind our "friendly" gestures, and they cut it short if they aren't interested or if the offer doesn't pertain to their reality at that very moment.

Sort of like a no-bullsh!t approach.

I am guessing this is what happened here.
