Okay guys, here’s the deal: my dad’s going to Miami on business and I will be travelling there with him for a well-deserved vacation in the sun (I hope). Having been a reader of this forum for a while now, I know that some of you DJs reside in the Miami area, and now is your chance to improve the quality of my stay by sharing your (probably extensive) knowledge.
I’m pretty sure my flight will be arriving on the 30th of October. I will then proceed to spend the next 6 or 7 days in the Miami-Miami Beach area, before heading down to the Florida Keys for the rest of my stay. It’s my first time in the States, but I’ve travelled quite a lot around the Europe. I’m only 18, so I guess that pretty much means no clubbing or lounge-hopping for me. I will, however, try to obtain a 21+ ID before coming, but I’m not really sure if that’s such a good idea anyway? My dad will probably be golfing all the time, so I’ll be spending the days on my own. We have a car, but since it’s the company’s, I’m not allowed to drive it. I’m staying at the Fontainebleau Hilton, which, I understand, is located near all the major attractions of Miami Beach.
There’s the introduction, now let’s hear from you DJs! I’m open to all feeedback, but here are some questions from the top of my head: what (not) to do? what to see? where (not) to go? where (not) to eat? etc. However, don’t let these topics limit your creativity, because I’m interested in all useful (and not that useful) info you can come up with. Also, I’m very interested to hear a general description of the area from a local (I’ve heard it’s really superficial and the chicks are all *****es?)
I would, of course, be delighted to get to know cool new people from the other side of the globe. So if any of you dons wants to hang out and talk trash (or whatever
), I’m all for it. I’ll be there from the 1st of november to the 6th or the 7th, so if you're up to it, send me a PM and we can chat!
