Master Don Juan
Hmm interesting... Dante = Dogg?
Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.
Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?
You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.
Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.
For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.
Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.
The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.
You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.
Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.
She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.
Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.
a) That's how I do them. I just don't bother listing all three parts, but if you saw my Sunday workout, I had listed all 3 parts there. I figured it to be assumed when I posted that I was going to do DC.Originally posted by semag
couple things bro...
a)you know the acutal mechanics of rest-pause aren't like that right??? Rest-pause, dante style, is where you do one set, up around 8-10, then take 15 deep breaths, and crank out again, you should be able to get about half your first set... 15 breaths, one more set.... hit like half the second... all in all = 8-4-2 or so like that... which ends up @ like 15 -20 reps
b) lat stretch, you strap your wrists to a bar and hang.....
Not all your exercises are DC approved; but if you can keep progressing then they're fine.Originally posted by MetalFortress

b) I need to find the straps in my gym first. I'm not even sure it has any.

You really need to read Cycles for Pennies again. These exercises you picked show you either haven't really read it well or you are working in a not-so-well-equipped gym and if the latter is true, then DC training is something you should not attempt.Originally posted by MetalFortress
Workout 1
CHEST:
1) DB Incline Bench Press
2) DB Bench Press
3) DB Decline Bench Press
Too much DB work. Swap out one of these and throw in a chest machine and swap out another for something on the smith.
SHOULDERS:
1) Olympic Jerks
2) BB Military Press
3) Power Cleans
Just stick to pressing movements. Take out the Olympic lifts.
TRICEPS:
1) Dips
2) Close Grip Rack Bench
3) CG Incline Bench
BACK WIDTH:
1) Pulldowns (underhand grip)
2) Pulldowns (overhand grip)
3) Pulldowns (hammer grip)
Too much pull-downs! Add rack chins.
BACK THICKNESS:
1) Deadlifts
2) Rack Deadlifts
3) Hammer Row
Workout 2
BICEPS:
1) BB curls
2) BB spider curls
3) cable curls
FOREARMS:
1) BB Standing Wrist Curls
2) Clean grip deadlifts
3) DB alternating hammer curls
I'm not sure what #2 is but I'd take out the wrist curls and put in pinwheel curls. Dante has me doing a really really nice fore-arm exercise but I cannot list it as it is part of why I pay him to train me, sorry.
CALVES:
1) Hack Squat Calf Press (one leg)
2) Supine Leg Press Calf Press (one leg)
3) Leg Press Calf Press (one leg)
Why one leg at a time????
HAMSTRINGS:
1) Sumo Deadlift
2) Power Snatch
3) Stiff Legged Deadlift
Sumo Deadlift is not going to work hams. Take out the Olympic lift.
QUADS:
1) Hack Squat
2) Supine Leg Press
3) Front Squat
Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.
She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.
Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.
So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.
The words come later. The impression comes first.
You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.
Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.
Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.
Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.
