Metabolism pills?

hey guys, i have a long time family girl friend who is trying to lose more weight. She started working out last year and lost a good amount of weight. What she wants to do is lose the stuff on her stomach and legs, i know that targeting certain areas doesnt really work with weight loss. how do metabolism pills work? would you recommend it to her, shes not eating much and is working out all in hopes of losing more weight.


Do you know people who have used the metabolism increase pills and benefited from them?
 

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Pills will just fvck you up.

Healthy cardio is the only way to go whether its steady state or HIIT.

Also you can't target weight to come off with certain exercises you just have to keep exercising and eventually those areas will shrink to as small as they are going to go without liposuction.

the only way for her to increase her metabolism (beyond very marginal stuff like green tea) is to lift weights (adding muscle mass) and increase her general activity level (everything from hardcore cardio to parking further away from storefronts).

most women need to add a significant amount of muscle to their backs & thighs to get the look they want. the recipe? you guessed it, the same thing we always push here -- squats & deadlifts -- combined with some form of low to medium impact cardio.

I am surprised to note as you have said targeting specific areas cant be possible how come you do not know that these metabolism pills or whatever are nothing but the creations of shrewd businessmen to make a mockery of people! As already someone said just ask her to stop paying attention to the TV commercials. Be on the right track and the goal would be achieved, what else do we want?

The thing is its not my choice or reccomendation to her... it was he choice, i took her to the gym yesterday to do weights and she walked away with a good work out. She is stubborn and is diong everything to lose weight, but she is doing everything wrong way! she recently began skippin breakfast, not eating a lot on lunch, basically starves. she will occasionally drink a diet coke or some diet drink just so she can have something sweet. i tell her to drop that but she wont. its helpless lol.

eh, let her get nowhere for a few months and then put it to her politely: "Look, your way obviously isn't working.. try my way, you have nothing to lose."

Like most people she'll only listen to you after life experience bites her in the a**.

Crash diets don't work, only making a diet a lifestyle change a person can live with day in and day out works.

Once she gets to her goal she will put all the weight back on gradually.

Then once that happens perhaps she will finally listen to your suggestions on how to do this right.
