Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus, good book or bad book???

Hey guys, I was curious, what is your opinion of the 'Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus' books? I've read the original, plus another in the series called 'Mars and Venus on a date'.

In my opinion there was some reasonable advice, such as women like it when a man listens to her, but hate it when he tries to give her advice or to 'fix' her problem. But overall I think there are far too many bits of info to remember, and I think if you're with a girl and trying to think of all those bits of advice, it'll just mess your head up and you won't be able to concentrate on having a good time with the girl.

So what are your opinions of this book? AFC or ok???

If you want to read it, read it. What is this business with books being AFC? Wtf?

Go to your local bookstore and skim the book. Just remember a few things: 1) every book written has someone's opinions and perspective... don't take it as a fact. 2) Everything contains bull**** in one form or another.

And forget about all that crap about dating and so forth. Be yourself. Don't worry about it. Listen to your insticts after all YOU'RE A MAN GODDAMNIT. Now grab your instincts.

If it doesnt work out, it either wasn't meant to be or yourself is really not up to par. Work on it.

In the DJ Bible, Pook describes MenMars/WomenVenus book as being very helpful *IF* you are in a serious relationship where the woman is interested in you but is useless if you're not because if a woman doesn't like you "that much" whatever you do will not make much sense to her as she doesn't feel obligated to reciprocate as you wish.

So overall is it useful? It helps being aware of how women think but it won't increase any attraction of how a woman thinks of you.
