"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

me: I did too
me: I want to see if your as nice as you are cute
her: haha

me: your real talkative. Are you shy?
her: kinda
me: get over it
her: maybe you talk to much
me: I don't think so

wait more minutes, getting bored....

me: your boring me miss shy. later
her: ok bye bye

No matter what her problems was, She obcviously wasn't the type of girl I like being around because she's no fun. My question for you guys is, regarless of wether she's cool or not, do you guys think I turned her off by the stuff I said or was she just really not interested to begin with?

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Did you have any other contact information besides her IM? If not, how'd you get her sn anyway, stalker! Anyway, it's always easy to armchair quarterback, but my personal opinion, you lost her after that first paragraph. You were the one who IMed her, so you can't really just expect her to start the conversation. You should lead her in a bit, "So what are you doing?" - "What's up?" - "How's it going?" - Whatver the hell else we humans use as buffers to begin conversations.

Nope, got her sn from a mutual friend. I don't like the idea impassively waiting to see if I would ever see her again.

She turned me off by just saying 'haha'. I was expecting some wit. That's what I'm looking for. I'm just starting to re-learn all this stuff so I wasn't sure if I approached it correctly or not.
