"The Kiss of Death Mistake"

You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?

Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.

One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.

Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

hi,

First of all, I don't like internet dating. MOst girls pretend to be someone else ( in fact just as we do ). Since I have a job which is heavy computer related, I don't go often on a pc when I'm home, or on the internet.

Last month, I went to an internet chatroom, first time in let's say 6 months. It was raining and I was bored.

Met this girl, she was 20 and student. gave her my msn adress and talked
for about 2 hours. Everything went well and she seems like a very funny and nice person. Saw a picture, she was not very hot but not ugly ( 6.5/10 ).
after 2 hours I told her I should go, and she gave me her mobile number. I gave mine in return, but forget about her. That night she send me a message that she really liked talking to me and wonders how I would be in real life.

Told me she had had a relationship of 2 years, but is now 6 months single.
She would like to meet me.
I was like, why not, I've got nothing to lose, besides she wanted to come over to my town with the train. Something that stoke my feelings was that she was very supplicating/needy.

- she always first sends messages
- she wanted to meet me and asked for a date
- she would come over to me

The day of the meeting.

When I saw her, she was kind, not really pretty, but that doesn't matter. I had made up my mind that I won't really go for her because of the distance we live ( 80km / 50 miles ).
we talked a little, then she told me she has already stolen things, has a drug related past and her brother is in jail.
I was like WTF, next her!

Moral of this story, never trust anyone based on internet alone.

sincerely

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

How does trust have to do with this ?

You just said immediately when you met, she told you about the bad things she's done. Where's the broken trust ?

I dont get it. I can see why you wouldn't like her because of her past, but i dont understand why trust is the moral of the story.

Yeah, I can't really see how this is an arguement against internet dating either. Or having anything to do with trust. She told you on your first date about things than many girls wouldn't tell you until you found out on your own. What did you expect her to do? Put it down as her advert header? My guess would be that sh'e just doesn't tell anyone and everyone about it just for the sake of telling them, but rather keeps it for people that she feels might need to know for any reason. In my mind, her telling you represented great trust on her part towards you, and you're bagging on her just because she didn't tell you first thing.

How silly.....

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

You guys should know by now that this happens online and offline in one form or another.

You would think that they would but it's easier to lay fault with the system rather than having any ownership in it yourself.
