"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

Male Birth Control

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

They've been saying that for years. We already HAVE an extremely effective form of male birth control----testosterone. Yep, a mild supraphysiologic does of testosterone will effectively decrease sperm production to the point of being a contraceptive. Wikipedia testosterone and the male HPTA for the science.

The problem is, I don't think male birth control will be a consumer reality anytime soon because it wont sell. This would be a very difficult thing to market to most men, since there is a big psychological "manliness" component to it, and between the marketing costs and production costs, pharm giants would not be turning a significant profit. Testosterone at the does required also has some undesirable side effects, so I don't think the FDA is going to expedite that one through.

Furthermore, while the protein inactivator they are allegedly testing in mice sound interesting, animal testing and full government approval for consumer marketing and prescribed human use are a LOONNGGGG ways apart. Don't hold your breath. In the meantime, just bust on your girlfriend's face ;)

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Colossus,

Interesting take you have, and I see your point. If they do market it as you anticipate it's almost guaranteed to fail. However, if they launch the right type of advertising campaign---one that DOESN'T call it "male birth control", then I bet they could do it quite effectively.

For instance, if they market it as a pro-men, super macho, self-defense prescription to aide in the "prevention of unwanted, deceptive, and/or malicious impregnation of the WRONG women"---then I bet it could be a HUGE seller. After all, we all know that there are a helluva lot of men on the Internet these days who damn near bust a nut just "saying" the word "Alpha" these days---right?

So all the drug manufacturers really have to do is play up the angle of "save money from having to hire lawyers and from having to pay decades of child support due to unwanted pregnancy entrapment"---and they'll easily get the backing of a significant number of rich, famous, and powerful men who are smart enough to know that they have A LOT to lose.

Just think: No more would there be such an easy payday for predator-type women who target athletes, actors, musicians, rich guys, or even good looking guys (some women just LOVE the idea of having "cute babies" you know).

A male contraceptive, properly named and effectively marketed to BOOST the male ego may be years away---but I think it's an idea whose time has "come"...so to speak.
