LTR Tip: Boredom

I am well over a year into a LTR and after a night where she came (pun intended) I got bored. I realized we have been doing the same routine for some time. I am sure some would say "get a new chick" but I believe the correct thing to do if you have a good chick is to bring in some excitement. After a couple action dates my interest was back.

It is always good pay attention to your feelings because they are there for a reason. In my case it reminded me to not forget about the basics of pickup (creating attraction).

This happens in ever relationship. When it happens can vary, but they all hit that boredom, "feels like we're in a rut" stage. The moment you even begin to feel that, change things up. Stop being so available, hang out with friends, stuff like that. Give her a chance to miss you a bit. That alone can really swing things around and make the relationship exciting for her again. This is important because if you feel that way, she probably does as well, and probably did sooner. By withdrawing your stream of affection and validation it creates an emotional vacuum and gives her a chance to crave you again. It's basically a measured "absence makes the heart grow fonder" while at the same time giving you a few extra nights here or there to go do something fun with friends and perhaps pick up another plate to spin.
