"The Kiss of Death Mistake"

You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?

Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.

One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.

Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Sorry for the length but I would really appreciate any advice :)

So I have been lurking around on this website for a while, lapping up the awesome tips and articles, so thanks guys! I have also read the system by Doc Love which I found full of useful information even if there are a few areas which I believe do not apply to British girls in the same way they do to your American girls!

I have been fairly confident with women and have had a 4 year relationship and have generally been seeing girls since that ended 2 years ago.

So I'll give you a back story of my current relationship and apologies if it is long winded but I want to give as much detail as possible!

So I have not met a girl from POF, which I am ok about as it it harder to find decent girls from the town I'm from. I have now been seeing her about 3 months and it's been really good. I have tried to apply most of the tips on this forum and Doc Love, ie never truly telling a girl how you feel, acting confident, not acting jealous and constant teasing/neg hits which i find works well with British girls as they at batting them back! She has told me she really likes me on numerous occasions and often tells me how her family really like me. I have been to two of her best mates wedding receptions (the second of which this article is really about). She is aware of a couple of other girls which are after me (1 my ex) and it causes slight jealously but also creates challenge for her which she has told me she doesn't like. I also know the last guy she was seeing for a few months which was 2 months prior to seeing her but she was still in contact with. She has told me it ended badly and was upset but she doesn't talk about him and I don't believe she is interested anymore. I have told her I am not worried if she talks to him as I am a better man in looks and personality and I do not get jealous, to which she has said she would never talk to him again.

So now I have just got back this morning from the wedding reception. She made me aware that her ex from about 5 years ago would be there and I said I was not worried and would come as I knew she wanted me to come. I get there and she asks me to kiss her pretty close to where he is standing to which I say "later" as he is there and I do not want to cause conflict which puts her off slightly. However on the dance floor I am dancing with her and making out, all of which is her doing. She is pretty drunk at this point I'll add. So I take a seat every so often so she can dance with her gfs so I do not smother her. I am talking to some of her mates with her I recognize and we come to the conclusion it was through my ex at which point she walks away. I then go outside leaving her on the dance floor to take a call when a girl who is a client from work recognizes me and we start talking which is when my gf comes over to see if I'm ok. We then sit down with some of her mates 2 guys and one girl. She has known the guys a while, who one of which her and her mates consider a bit of a douch. I let her sit on my lap as she talks away whilst I receive a text from one of my "competition" girls which she sees but does not mention. So she is talking away to this guy who is giving the spiel of how he is a changed man and I get up to get drinks and leave her on her own with him now. I come back and they are still chatting, we finish our drinks and he makes a joke of whether he can have her for tonight which I reply with "sure, 20, for a night" ( which in hindsight was wrong). Back on the dance floor we have a little dance and I go to get more drinks and have a seat, and she is dancing away with guy being slightly touchy feely with him, which I don't like. I let it go on and one of her mates says ignore it after seeing me looking for a sec. After 30 mins or o I go up to her calmly and say I'm gonna call it a night, she looks shocked and i say goodbye to her mates. We walk out to the hall and she is visibly quiet and annoyed with me for leaving. I say I'm gonna go home even though I was gonna go to a house party. But I ask if she was ok and why she was annoyed and she says she's not but why am I leaving. I then confess I was annoyed she was dancing with that guy and being flirty and I felt it showed disrespect and I believe she was trying to make me jealous (which I didn't want to say but I thought i needed to call her out). She said why don;t you trust me then started bringing up my ex and the text she saw earlier and how this guy she was flirting with said if they were together he would tell everyone as she finds it annoying I hold back slighty. She said go home and I said I would stay till the end. We sat down near the dance floor and she said that she hated the competition as she though both the girls were prettier and she was ugly. I reassured her that was not the the case. After that she was all over me again and I ended up staying and having sex with her that night. The sex (sorry to go into detail) was good but she said she just wanted me to orgasm as she wanted to make sure she was good enough and then continued to tell me she really liked me. So i assume some of this was the drink.

Upon waking we were still cuddly and kissing even though she accused me of having a hissy fit to which i said she had 3. I said I'd leave before breakfast and then left however it was slightly awkward but still snogged me and told me to text her soon.

So from this I am just slightly confused as this was our first argument and I see a future with her as I believe she is worthy of a LTR. I just want some advice on where I have gone wrong and what I have done right and whether or not there are bad red flags showing.

Thanks guys for reading!

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

this is in the tips column, read it.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

I was going to type out a thoguthful response but the more I read it the more I come to the conclusion you are both immature emotionally, she is NOT over her ex, she used and tries to use you to get a rise out of him.
she doesnt like the challenge?? tough sh!t, get used to it, that bit you have got right.
as far as this LTR goes, it wont be she still has isues about the ex, it didnt end well probs means he dumped her after cheating on her = she wants him back or she cheated on him...which means she cant really be trusted.
from what you have written, I wouldnt invest too heavily in this one.
as for ..."we finish our drinks and he makes a joke of whether he can have her for tonight"
Id have replied.."why? you wouldnt be any use to her once Ive pulled your fu cking eyes out of their sockets?"

maybe not a DJ move but f cuck it, thats a Gauntlet thrown down there and its no joke, its a straight out challenge

Hi betheman

Thanks for the reply, all advice is appreciated.

I think you are right about us being emotionally immature especially as I'm pretty young with fairly little experience.

I feel she has really low self esteem and from being screwed over in the past presents me with a bit of a problem.

As with the challenge, do you think this is something that could become too much? Personally I have no intent on stopping :)

Thanks purefilth :)

I think that article makes a lot of sense.

Although i really cannot understand why so many of my mates are in LTRs whilst being completely under the thumb, I swear British girls have a higher tolerance to AFCs.

wrong > "sure, 20, for a night" = never make her feel like a cheap *****. if anything then an expensive one.

right > everything else.

my personal opinion. stuff like that does happen in a relationship and there isnt much to worry about. besides little fights like that keep the fire alive and make the sex even better. but you must know that from your last relationship already, right?

PS: agree on that she isnt completely over her Ex. gotta be a coldhearted biatch to be. important thing is she is with you now and she doesnt want to lose you.

Thanks flashpoint for replying.

Yeh I knew as soon as I said that I was wrong! Hopefully she wont remember!

Yeh I agree there, In my last relationship however this killed it because there was too much of this jealously ect. Which as you said is fine in sometimes but not too often! I just don't want to be an AFC like my mates in there relationships!

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

No, stay and always be, a challenge, just tone it down so its not hard work all the time. Got to show you can chill out and have a good time.

Cool, yeh sometimes it is hard work being a challenge!

You from the Uk then? I find women here just settle for what they can get sometimes. this website paints a lot of women out to be difficult to tame but I just find a lot of the time here I see what you see skinny wimpy guys with puppy eyes acting on every request of their gf!!! Just don't get it!

I have a low tolerance level for British girls, they seem different to others, Ive had Russian, Estonian, German, Dutch, Danish, Turkish as well as several English. And I honestly prefer foreign girls after testing these waters. English just seem to have their heads stuck up their own ar$es. :kick:
