But does it matter what the "reason" is?

If a puff of wind causes a woman to lose attraction for a man it's the same as him being unfaithful or beating the crap out of her as far as the health of the relationship beyond that point.

ANY woman has the potential to lose her attraction to a man for reasons that might not be considered "valid". He might even be a great guy, and she might WANT to continue to see him as a suitable mate, but she really has no control over that.

It depends upon what that attraction is based.

If it's mostly sexual or masculine/feminine attraction, then yes, eventually she'll look elsewhere or just get bored with it altogether.

That's why you don't just marry a woman because you're "attracted" to her. Attraction and love come and go. You find someone that you know the two of you will enjoy spending a LONG time together, and who will make a good mother for your kids.

Str8Up, that was me that posted the link to the women author about women's infidelty. What I found amazing is that a woman could be so honest about her own "unjustifiable" actions and to basically come out and say the "matrix" is wrong about women's sexuality and relationships, and women do not have more loyality or integrity in relationships basically.

And yet so many guys like to continue to pretend that they do.

I am thankful that I no longer have those delusions!

she up and left him (and our family) with no reason or explaination other than she 'wasnt happy'. Completely unexpected. Broke up our family. My father was devastated for a long time, and it really changed my perspective of marriage.

Perhaps we should amend the marriage vows to suit modern women -

To say that you have the ability to choose the RIGHT wife would imply that one exisits.

THERE IS NO "RIGHT" WIFE!

The difference between a woman who cheats and one who does not has as much to do with CIRCUMSTANCE than it does with her INTEGRITY.

Not all women WILL cheat, but all women are CAPABLE of cheating.

If one of us had a crystal ball we could consult maybe we could determine which "quality" woman is "right", but until then......

I agree, but I do think that we (here on the mature man forum) are way ahead of the game.

I think for those of us that do end up getting married, the chances of our wives cheating would be very slim actually, IMO.

I also think we have less of a chance of finding someone to marry because we are far less likely to end up stumbling into a marriage without thinking, or more realizing, what we are doing. We are more in tune with what is really going on, therefore far better at protecting ourselves from women who may not make a quality wife, or life-partner.

In the end you never know if your woman will cheat, but a DJ can do a LOT to prevent that from happening.

I look at guys like Rollo who have good wives with whom they have a great relationship, and I see a big part of the reason being that they know what to do. They know how to be a man and how to take the reigns and be PROACTIVE in making a relationship work. Leave it up to the woman and get a big pile of sh!t.

So yea, we are a lot LESS likely to get married, but a lot MORE likely to have a happy, healthy relationship.

True, but I wonder if he actually expected to get a response for a date, he came off very bitter. My gut tells me he was just making a declaration because it seems a bit naive to think that he'd find a woman who'd appreciate his belief on Craigslist, especially in Denver.
