I'm not triggered. I don't have Netflix or cable TV so I don't get to see any of this crap.

I find it all amusing. When you start thinking about a show like this, you have to wonder if they've even put any thought into who the target audience is. Is it aimed at women who want to see a superhero movie with curvy middle-aged women in the lead roles? Is it aimed at men because they want to see curvy, middle-aged women who fight crime?

I'm pretty sure this is aimed at nobody. It's sole purpose is to prove a point that fat middle-aged women can be superheroes.

If it weren't for feeling like America is a developing country compared to here, or a "shythole" as president Trump would have said, I would have had my eye on spending more time there for this reason.

If there was a place in America that had:

- Comprehensive pedestrian and bike paths and public transport
- Universal healthcare and tertiary education
- Affordable childcare and paid parental leave
- A negligible risk that me being brown is a problem
- A negligible amount of people who want to ban science, birth control, sex ed and abortion
- Clean food and environment
- Not too much more crime than here
- A warm enough climate to never be freezing*

* The one thing Sweden doesn't have.

Then I could justify going to America again. I think I saw more thick girls just when I passed through the airports than I've done in my whole life here in Sweden.

Why can't you get your act together? I want my fat girls Tyte but as it is now, I just can't be with you babe.

One good thing about the states is that if things are bad where you're at, you can pick up and move to another state. Nothing to it.

That's also a bad thing, as you have leftists from California and New York that flee their own dangerous, expensive states in search of greener pastures. Greener pastures tend to be conservative states.

By the way, the policies that drive up the expenses are not left wing economics. Just because the Republican party is a right wing fringe, does not mean the Democrats are an economically left wing party. They con their constituency all the same (as much as you can argue that people are "conned" by what they choose to vote for).

South Florida is a retirement hot spot for New Yorkers and others from the Northeast. Night and day difference between South Florida and North Florida.

California and New York are left wing by our standards.

One thing I know is most people aren't in lock step with parties.

Take the Jew retirees in SoFla. Militantly pro-Israel, but usually pretty liberal otherwise. Jews kind of invented modern social justice, though not the whiny bytchy kind we have today.

Meanwhile, Cuban-Americans in Miami are probably pretty liberal except that they mostly hate Castro or whoever's in charge now in Cuba. But it's been 60 years and those attitudes are shifting.

And I'm still generalizing. Most people probably agree with aspects of either party. Politicians are usually afraid to stand apart from their parties. There are exceptions depending on constituents, e.g. Bernie Sanders was very pro-2nd Amendment or so I read. Bill Clinton was pro-death penalty. And so on.

South Florida Cubans are mostly conservative, from my experience. Marco Rubio is a good example, but they've always had a major presence in the Florida legislature.

I don't think that there is another " south florida cuban on this forum other than me, so I can speak to this yes we are probably the most conservative latins in the U.S.. the ones in more liberal states tend to be more liberal but not as much as other latins. As far as the U.S. being a developing country as @AttackFormation likes to put it, every time he has a chance to show me that he doesn't know what he thinks he knows he never fails, I gotta give it to him the man is insanely consistent. @AttackFormation don't come to the U.S. every thing the left wing press is telling you is 100% true and don't even think of questioning it.

That may well be true since someone like Trump, and those who back him, both make their money off of capital gains and want to untax those capital gains. And capital gains are how people get rich in general, not productive work.

It's not just capital gains though, he's lowered the income tax rates for everybody. So everybody is keeping more of their money, unless they have no income.

Well, I haven't personally checked the tax plan and this video is two years old, but here's what the economist I listen to has to say about Trump's tax plan:
