now i did try the search function and not a lot came up so could some one refresh my memory as to why a girl might lie saying that she has a boyfreind (i dont mean in a cold approch i mean a girl from school that seems possibly intrested and added me on to instant messenger and keeps talking to me)

she might be lying to you saying she has a boyfriend so you won't be interested in you, or maybe she does have a boyfriend. Either way. There isn't a lot to read into, stop worrying about it. You should always judge actions over words.

check_mate_kid_uk: The answer here is simple...

By her saying to you that she has a bf after asking u who u fancy she is trying to get to your "jelousy" emotion.

1) She probably knows that a guy wants something he CANT have more than something he can have (phsycologically)

2) She wanted to see your reaction, but why would she want to see your reaction? BECAUSE SHE IS INTERESTED IN YOU. She just has a wierd way of showing it, and is affraid that u might not be interested in HER.

3) She doesnt want u to think "oh, she likes me cause she is asking me who i fancy" so she uses that to "cover up" that she really IS interested in you.

Overall, from what i gather, she IS interested in you.

yeah i belive that was what i heared a long time ago and forgot, thanx for that. People dio actuly remark on her being weird, and she told me she is. Like i thought she would not start a convo with me on instant messenger as soon as i go on, because she isnt intrested in me.
