Leather Jackets

I have never had one and I am planning on getting one as a stylish piece / outerwear for the temperatures between my winter coat and to the point where outerwear is not needed.

I have no idea what I am looking for other than something timeless and/or simple.
I found (attached one) recently. Looking for your advice. Post your jackets if you have.

Prefer the bomber jacket or biker jacket style. They have more of a casual b@dass look to them. When buying leather you have to first consider if you want faux leather or real leather. The real leather costs a lot more, but it tends to age well. Real leather as it ages gets more wrinkled and weathered giving it a more rugged look. The faux leather is typically half the price and does not have that effect, but the faux leather nowadays looks very similar to the real thing and even feels like it. I prefer to spend a bit more on the real stuff as you tend to have more life out of it, and it ages better.
My favorite is my Perry Ellis lambskin bomber jacket. Got it for around $225 on sale a couple years ago, but it is well made and it has lasted me a while. Also the lambskin has a nice feel to it. I do not think they have this one anymore but they have similar stuff.

I like Icon as a brand: http://www.rideicon.com/ They have a lot of great stuff, and the prices are not too outrageous. The pic above is not mine, but I have that same jacket. Girls drool over it. It's much too heavy to wear very long off the bike, because it's real gear, which I believe very strongly in if you're riding a motorcycle. The replacement value of all my gear is probably more than my bike is worth. But I can face-plant into pavement at 60 mph and walk away with just a few bruises.

Thank you guys ! Now I'm at an even bigger loss . When choosing sh!t like this I always want the best to suit me and my needs which leads to cherry picking .... Be it knives, cars, shoes etc.

@Bible_Belt The bike is coming next year I suppose a small 125cc , probably an old two-stroke from the 70/80s like the one attached. I'll use it for mostly for commute since next year the Govt is taking away my 50% public transport relief. Some forest roads from time to time. Back to jackets.

So I went all out and instead of going for a certain type I looked for national manufacturers and see what I would like / what would intrigue me.

Since it's all based in my country it makes it easier. I selected DORJAN for the variety of shapes and the brand is well respected. Not only they produce only in lambskin but also offer tailoring and/or a desired colours they have available.

Also dark brown, the most expensive one, this one is actually made from goat skin , a step up ?
