"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Okay…I’ll keep this one short.

Everything is game over with this one girl I work with...

There was an attraction there, but she found out I liked her, created a big distance, and as I result, I ended up turning into a needy, calling, wussy.

When I realized how I was acting, I stopped the calls, and when I saw her at work, I remained aloof...but it was too late.

That was 4 months ago, and I went on vacation. I hadn't seen her since.

A couple of weeks ago, we started working with each other again. I was my normal c/f self, lots of laughter from her, everything is cool. When she was talking to me the other day, she was leaning against the wall, playing with her hair, and her pelvis ******d...which I took as receptivity.

I found out from a friend yesterday (co-worker) that she is uncomfortable around me because she knows I am still attracted to her.

I guess that caught me a wee bit offguard as I never sensed that from her physically.

So now, I'm finding myself watching what I say, how I say it, and I feel like a retard around her.

I don't call her, I don't attempt to socialize with her...all the communication is work related. I let her call me. Those are the only things i can think of doing so i can feel better (in control).

Even though I think the attraction was there way back, I think I killed it completely the way I acted. I am leaving my job in November, so I have some time here...I basically want her to look at me as a man...not some stupid kid who has a crush on her.

Any way to salvage this?

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Nothing romantic is ever going to happen with this woman so stop stressing about it. Use her for practice on the next great woman to come along.

You are too worried about what she thinks about you. You only worry about someone when you are interested in them for good or bad. When you lose that ... then she will look at you differently.

Find another girl. Then you'll stop obssessing over this one. And then, ironically, she may be attracted to you again.
