Most of the times that people try crap like that, I'll just let it slide, and afterwords mention that he's just jealous cause he hasn't gotten laid in many months or make a joke about it.
Although there are also times where my friends would CB because their beer goggles werent' working as well and saw that the girl was fugly or something.

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?
She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."
She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.
I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.
Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.
I'd meet some girl at a party, start talking. He'd see me, come over and get into the conv. Eventually, he'd try to dominate the conv. He would literally start to move in between me and the girl. If I'd let him continue, my nose would be on his back.
I don't hang with that a$$hole any more...
However, I was once out with my gf and some dj- looking guy around her age came to talk to her (she´s aolder than me)
so I wasn´t really as amused as usually. Ok, here´s what I did: I excused -not mentioning- anything that the girl is my gf- just introduced myself and started talking very friendly to the DJish looking guy. He was very surprised and said he´s sorry, but I said nevermind, I take these as a compliment. So, I chatted with the guy for a while and apart each other smiling. So, I kind of turned the CB around. Nothing special, but worked good, and this is what I´m going to use next time if the same situation ever happens again.
What kind of strategy do you use to prevent cb:s? Do you think my stratgy will also work if I´ve just made the approach to the girl and don´t know her yet?
