I like the "old skool" olympic lifts. There's nothing better than doing snatches & cleans in a workout... NOTHING!!!

Anybody else do these?

Apparently they are the best exercises an athlete can do.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Cleans and deadlifts are AWESOME exercises. You will build
your core strength doing these which for some reason just makes you stronger in every other exercise you do. I think they also make your muscle thicker or denser if that makes sense -- all good.

I actually prefer deadlifts because there is less movement and I worry about injury when I do cleans. And, obviously, you can pile on more weight with deadlifts than cleans. I never do snatches (although I'm a huge fan of snatch in general) again because there is too much movement and I'm worried about back injury even though I've never injured my back. It just feels like I might when I do snatches.

They're awesome. Right now though I'm not doing either, I'm only doing grind exercise routines (chins, dips, squats) and kettlebells, and workouts with a 100 pound medicine ball.

Power cleans are definately up there with squats and deadlifts for sure, they will not only build you a great looking body, but will also give you fantastic strength in the future. It is no surprise that all three are events in the world strongest man competitions.

If you just tried the snatch for the first time, you're not much of a DJ are you?
