I am going to disagree with this. Online dating is a numbers game and if you're going to read the profiles of every girl you find attractive and try to come up with messages that relate to something in those profiles, you'll be wasting waaaaay more time than you need to.
Personally, I've had pretty good success with the following message: "Hey there!" Yup, that's all. Online dating is 80% pics, 15% status (i.e your job) and 5% everything else (i.e witty openers, etc.) Don't waste too much time on the 5%. By sending a short, low-effort feeler, you are basically asking her if she likes your pics and self-description. If she replies with something like "I'm good, how are you", then you spend the time reading her profile and writing something meaningful. You can write the most brilliant opener in the world, but if she doesn't like your pics, she's not going to respond.
it's not much different than how i bring in jobs for my web company. about.. 50% of our work comes from freelance sites or what not and i probably read a total of 500 new job postings a day, thoroughly read them, and i probably respond to 10 of them. out of about 500 on a weekday 10 might be worth my time. so while i don't online date i very well know the context of what is being spoken about.
1. the most important thing i do, is that i actually make sure that i'm what the client is looking for.
think of it like this. lets say.. warrior and i are in real life and we are friends and he has this guy who knows him who wants a website built and he refer him to my company. that to me is the equivalent of a socal circle in dating game. A client is probably going to be alot more lienant when it comes to our rates, our portfolio, whatever, in that seenerio because we have a built in rapport already.
but in the online dating world, or in my case getting clients who i have never met before, id n't waste my time responding if i am not EXACTLY what the client s looking for. If the client is in Florida and really wants to deal with someone in florida than we don't waste our time. If the client has his heart set on using say, Dupral to build a site I won't waste my time even if we can built the site because we don't program using Dupral. If the client wants to pay a hourly rate I won't respond because we don't do hourly rates.
And if i don't have enough information to determine if i'm what this guy wants, or girl for that matter, I don't respond. I don't waste my time responding to people who I am not 100% sure I'm a good match to.
This means the vast majority of my time is reading and not responding. I'm cool with that.
So I KNOW the guy is going to respond because we do what he wants and we hit all his criteria. getting a woman to respond is no different. If you meet her criteria she will respond. And nothing less
all this thread is about trying to basically circumvent meeting a woman's criteria. Which is hypocritical because you got the chance to size her up when you sent her the generic one liner in the first place.
2. I come off as genuine and I get to the point. If I know we can do a job and I know we meet all the criteria what the **** is the need to go into this drawn out sales pitch or use any tactics other than look here dude, bam lol.
How effective is this. Because I have been busy with my son, and spending time with him before he goes off to school for the firs time I only worked one day last week, Wednesday. I emailed 5 clients. I got respnodes from 3 of them and sold 2 of the 3.

i promise you the same road you are going down with this shotgun **** I was there 5 years ago with this web development company. I've been there and done it and I'm past that. My business, and actually my game with women as far as the number of good plates, took off when I stopped caring about the number of responses I sent out / the best sales pitch and stared using my sniper rifle / spent my time screening for matches more than shot gunning.
you are trying to get around the fact that the woman isn't responding and make her responding instead of accecpting that mabye you simply aren't what the chick is looking for. No witty response, no great one liner is or sales pitch is going to make you that guy.
conversly if you are what the girl is looking for, or in my case the client, as long as i don't **** it up i'm going to get a shot.
anything more than that is seriously over thinking it.
in a nut shell what i am trying to say is basically that you are going to spend time doing something. either shot gunning or screening. screening is going to get you better results. stop worrying about how many other guys she is going to get messages from (or in my case, how many other companies are emailing clients or how many other company sites the client has been to lookin for quotes), start worrying more about making sure that you fit what she is looking for in general.
