Carry stuff in your hand, in your wallet, or in a zipped pocket. I've had money fall out of my pockets many times because I reach in to pull something else out and it accidentally falls out at the same time.
When I go traveling, I only have limited money in my wallet even. I tie a special thin bag around my waist under my tshirt. It's come in handy a few times as well.
So yeah, hard lesson to learn but all you should think about now is making sure it never happens again.

i got ripped off for $260 once. ATM scam. It took me 3 months to earn £1000, so obviously i do. I wasted it all on alcohol and other useless stuff within a few weeks, i was pissed off at the time when i realised what I had done, but it just taught me to be alot more careful with my money. Pro dj hasn't even said how he lost it, he might have gambled it all away...
