Master Don Juan
I visit a clothing forum from time to time. in the AE part of the forum this guy asked for help about how to play basketball. he likes basketball but sucks.
and everyone in the thread... guys who ovbiously had not touched a basketball growing up.. were saying things like "learn the rules" and " go buy dvd's on how to get better" (sound familiar) and so on and so forth. basically literary, 4 pages of garbage.
The whole time I as like dude, just go fuvcking play ball! it's basketball. you go outside and shoot and shoot until you get good at it. you go play with people that are better with you, get your ass handed to you until you start handing other people their ass
I played ball all though elementry, jr and senior high. we did not read books in elementary about the rules of the game. we went outside in the backyard and played pick up ball. until we became better at it, and went and played at the park against other kids. until we went to the boys club and formed a team. until we were good enough to play for the jr high school, until we played aau ball. until we play high school ball and if you are good enough college ball
just go play ball man. it's that damn simple. yes i can tell you some things/drills that will help you improve your game, but at the end of the day, practice practice practice.
when i was a kid i spent every bit of 25-30 hours a week playing either basketball or baseball. every bit if not more. and becuase of it.. i was damn good. espically in baseball, i could have played minor league ball had i taken it more seriously.
the problem with this forum or most people, is you want to go from not knowing anything about women, to wannting tp just to AAU ball (dating 8 or 9's)in 1 month or less without putting the work in to become better. For those of you who dont' play ball.. imagine your local city and taking the best..10.. players from that entire city and putting them on one team, and traveling across the state and country to play other teams. that's aau ball in a nutshell. you have a age grups for every year in jr and senior high, so imagine you live in little rock, you have 1, maybe 2 teams of the best say.. juniors.. in the city and surrounding areas. you are playing ball then.
just like real life.. some people are just better and are born more gifted. I personally know joe johnson, played on the same AAU team with him, and he is probbly the most physically gifted athlete i have ever seen, never practed. when he did to go the gym it was to work out.
then i know a guy like jason harrison, none of you know him.. 5'4. ****ing 5'4. and worked his ass off and got a schooly to ole miss, an SEC school. AND STARTED THERE. he was the guy at the gym late at night, early in the morning. he put the work in. he didn't read books, he just practiced and practiced.
man just get the fvck out there and go play some damn ball.
