"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

So it seems that my close friend Juggler (we went for ice cream a few weeks ago) is going to have his own reality show. Here is what he posted on his blog: Discuss amongst yourselves...

Breaking news! Our television program to air in August posted on Tuesday, July 04, 2006

I have decided to break the news first here in my Blog. The rumors are true. Johnny and I spent the Spring in London shooting a reality television program for the Channel Four Network in the UK. http://www.channel4.com/

First of all, shooting a television show is tough. We worked 15 hour days and I did not get any chocolate. At times I questioned whether I wanted to have a television show. But I have seen the final edit and seriously guys, I am excited. It was worth the hard work. Johnny's hair looks great and one of our characters, Neal steals the show. Our director Mark who also shot the most popular episodes of the UK Apprentice is a genius and was great fun to work with. The cast, crew and production company were top notch. And the people at Channel Four have been very supportive. I look forward to shooting the next one real soon.

Right now we know it will air sometime in August. Feel free to call the network and pester them for an exact air date. The working title is 'Seduction School' but that will probably change as well. I'm told approximately 3 million people will view this show. That is something I tried not to think too much about when the camera was pointed our way. I hope Johnny and I can still teach our workshops somewhat undercover in London. In any case stay tuned for more information.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

PUA is going mainstream, but why do us DJs care? We've got our act together.... or at least getting near it. No worries about what the big gurus do ;P

I wonder if shows like this will ever really change anything...

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

Hey Resilliant,

I recognize you from the Charisma Arts board. I stopped posting here once I got access over there but I thought I would spread the word about Juggler.
