"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Over the course of 6 dark months life as I know it has fallen apart in front of my eyes due to drug problems. Gone is the girlfriend I held dearly, gone are most of the people whom I called friends and gone is the respect of others and my own self esteem. But one day I stumbled upon this forum, and learned that there were ways to improve ones self and that there were others who had successfully done it before.

It is my intention that this thread will help guide me and give room for my personal thoughts as well as the opinion of more shall I say "able" men ;)
The first thing I want to improve is my self confidence. Which is currently a hard thing since I recent,y was diagnosed with severe depression. No matter how much you have, one will never be able to truly appreciate life without a sense of self worth.

My goals for the forthcoming year will be;

Battle and overcome clinical Depression
Develop social skills
To enjoy life
Exercise, gain 10 kgs of mass
Overcome approach anxiety when it comes to girls

My long term goal is to maintain a relationship with a girl having the body of a goddess whilst living a happy and fulfilled life. When I die, I want to have a smile on my face, knowing that I've had one hell of a ride.

"Life is a storm, my young friend. You will bask in the sunlight one moment, be shattered on the rocks the next. What makes you a man is what you do when that storm comes. You must look into that storm and shout as you did in Rome. Do your worst, for I will do mine! Then the fates will know you as we know you: as Albert Mondego, the man!"- Alexandre Dumas

My question to you experienced don Juan's is; how did you start your journey? Is there anything you can recommend me to do?

Other than that; Have a pleasant weekend!

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.
