I've been making some money on the side fixing people's computers for a $50 flat fee (mostly virus cleanups- easy money) and buying and reselling stuff from govdeals.com. That's something someone your age can get into.

Plenty of fast food jobs out there. Walmart. There are stores everywhere. Deliver pizzas. Construction companies will always hire labor. Go mix paint for Sherwin Williams.

That's like 6 right there. Oh wait....you're too good for these jobs, correct?

Youngster, I was in the same boat as you once upon a time.

You know what's frustrating? Every employer wants someone with experience, but how does a young cat get experience if noone will give them an entry position?

What I did was look for work through my community college when I was taking classes before I went to university. Community college jobs often don't require any experience and can be diverse such as office assistant or lab assistant which is way more marketable than some fast food job.

Also, this was back when I was 18 which was 12 years ago. It was hard then, and I can only imagine just how hard it is now.

Keep trying an don't let rejections discourage you. Rejection is a natural part of life.

Telemarketing.

It's a job no one wants to do. You get paid to develop communication skills and rejection tolerance.

I did a LOT of factory work. Get a welding certificate or a CDL, tons of jobs for truck drivers. Also apply to work on an Oil Rig. You could also be a janitor pretty much everywhere. I had one job cleaning up airplanes at the local airport every night and hauling baggage. You've got to actually go out and look for jobs. What about working at a machine shop?

I took a 9-week class to learn horseshoeing (dad paid for it) and found an established farrier to apprentice with. ALL my clients are women, and if you push yourself, you can make 6 figures.
