I wish all states would drop this abstinence only bullsh1t, it's not working.
 

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

I don't see what your problem with her is? She actually seems very reasonable for a feminist. Are you seriously saying abstinance only sex ed is a good thing??? Let me guess, you also think Palin would make a great VP.

I fail to see the problem. Abstinence only education is the stupidest thing. It has been proven time and again that it simply doesn't work. The only thing you end up with is people who are ignorant of their own sexuality.

no. I am not supporting palin,nor believe in abstinence only,what I do believe in,is women knowing there place,and not slutting around at an early age. we need to reset some things. we need to get back some tradition.

No. not necessarily. But that's what's happened. It's not that I support abstinence only, but feel that the current sex ed programs undercut familites/values, and create a sense of competition amongst kids, and teach just how to have sex,anytime anywhere. Not how to love and care for one another. It also encourages risky promiscuity.

I disagree. Peer pressure, the media, curiousity, and raging hormones and a sex drive cause promiscuity in young people.

Sex ed only does good. As if anybody taking sex ed didn't know all the juicy details before? That kind of stuff you pick up outside the class room, its the safe sex info that you might not get anywhere else. Of course its not hard to find that information, but many kids won't bother.

The bottom line is that the US is undeniably backward in its regard for sexuality, especially with young people. Many other developed countries have fewer teen pregnancies and STDs even though their teens have plenty of sex and there is no sheltering of them. Hell when I was in Britian this summer there was full frontal nudity on BBC, a publicly funded channel! Much like alcohol control, we have problems with it because we make it a big deal. If it was just a part of life that people are gradually exposed to as they grow up, it would be less of a problem.

But in North America, sex is bad. Well guess what young people just LOVE to do? Rebel, do what they're not supposed to, be it listening to weird music, getting tattoos and piercings, or having sex when you're not really ready.

Well,maybe that's where my bitterness comes from. Also, people like her don't help. I see people like her as something wrong with the country,something we should be fighting against.

I feel,some of it comes from perhaps lack of such courses. I only had it once in middle school. That's it. Everything else,I learned from said media,or even porn. So I may look at things a little unrealistically. I mean seriously, I feel almost embarrased about it. Or perhaps because I believe in the idea of love.

Is that how you spend your free time? looking for things to anger you? Have you any idea how much soft porn, girls bouncing up and down in bikinis there are on you tube, how much funny clips of movies, how many inspiring speeches, how many different resources to empower yourself, clips of clint eastwood killing people with his trademark cigar shift, magic johnson basketball highlights, michael jordon commercials,OLD SUPERBOWL COMMERCIALS, and and and.. and you spend time looking for THAT WITCH?
