But this is an 18-year-old woman, likely living in a population hub in order to put up those numbers in a single month - I'd have run out of women to swipe on in like 2 or 3 days with that cadence.

The fact that she's only matching with 1/3 of the men she swipes right on also means it's likely she's unattractive. This was pre-COVID, so people were a little less uptight, and the apps weren't overrun with bots.

This is a waste of time all the way around; the guy with 2 million swipes, the girl with almost 25,000 swipes, and the guy who's constantly posting these low-effort, heavily aged Reddit posts.

It was my impression that women had a 50%+ match rate on their right swipes on the major swipe apps. Some women get close to 100% of right swipes as matches. 33% would be a very low match rate on right swipes for any woman.

Even with her being unattractive, she only swiped right on 1% of men. Most women have a right swipe rate of 3-5%. Men typically swipe right on around 50% of women.

She also managed to have some sort of sexual activity with 4 men from her effort. "Hook up" is a vague term.

The last 2 generations of adults (Gen Y/Millennials and Gen Z/Zoomers) have had weak social skills.

These generations are less likely to be able to meet people through real life methods. They have been and will continue to be reliant upon tech methods to meet people.

I am an older Millennial born in the 1980s and was starting to see the degradation of real life social skills as far back as when I was in college (2001-2005).

The 1990s born Millennials (1990-1996) and now the newest Gen Z adults (1997-2006 births) have both had weaker social skills than even the Millennials born in the 1980s.

It's very possible to waste a lot of time trying to date using tech methods.

I was actually motivated by reading a reddit post that had this Sankey graph for the OP's job applications, and in my usual very curious self, researched what exactly this graph was called (it's named after a mechanical engineer who explained thermodynamic processes with it). I had seen these types of graphs before with dating, and so I did a simply search for "Sankey dating", and this popped up. Usually these graphs are from the male POV, but this one was from the female POV.

I've actually spent more time writing this response than I did to search for the example and do my OP here. I'm independently wealthy now, so I have lots of time.

I kind of agree with this.
i've always said that looks are the most important by FAR as without physical attraction, your 'game' is irrelevant, but i've always conceded that you still usually need some 'game' (or at least not be weird) in order to seal the deal

Although i've seen some evidence recently on some forums of good looking dudes who are actually autistic and very weird who post all kinds of evidence of their tinder lays (typically fairly hot young girls) just because of their looks. They don't know how to hold a convo and know nothing about 'game' etc (and admit their struggles), but they get the job done

I think this is because tinder is often just a matter of matching, then 'come to my place', she turns up (if she's attracted enough) adn then it's often literally straight to sex.
