Ok I've never done the Internet dating thing primarily b/c I've never needed to and I think it enables someone to become something they are not. I'm charasmatic, funny and spontaneous in person so I've always felt like I'm better face to face.
I browsed a site the other day at work basically laughing at some of the things people said, then I see this really cute girl with something interesting her words that caught my eye. I make money so I paid and sent her an email. She responed b/c I made it pretty funny by telling her other things I could have done for 20 bucks and how she's already in the hole. She lives in my town but is currently out of town for the next two weeks.
We have im'd a couple of times and exchanged emails a few times over the last two weeks. Nothing too much, light talk and I seem to make her laugh. She sent me like 23 photos and I've only provided 2. OK, now I haven't heard from her in a few days, the last time was that she appologized for not having the time to talk to me b/c of her job...even though I never mentioned wanting to talk to her.
What I'm realizing here is that the Internet can be just like real life with the games. The whole image of "busy" seems to work on here too. I also realize that there is a book of "rules for internet dating". Can someone with some experience on this thing concur?
