I didn't join the military because it's impossible to get laid in Alalalalastan. In retrospect that was a dumb reason.

Isn't there a lesser need for troops with all of the technologically advanced (drones, etc) weaponry?

Not that patriot missiles are new, but they are in the news because we are sending them to Ukraine. It takes something like 60 people to launch one. That's the backlog for arming Ukraine, they don't have the personnel support required for modern weapons.
