"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

I have a question. This female friend of mine has liked me for years since college, she even asked me out a couple years after college and i turned her down and said i just wanted to be friends. Since then she has done most of the keeping in touch. We only really go to met's game together a couple times a season now. Well she brought her friend this yr to one of the games and she was really cute, and was firting with me, hitting me on the arm and stuff like that when i was being ****y and funny and stuff. When my friend went to the bathroom i was alone with her for like 5 mins, but it wasnt enuff time to talk to her. I have never seen this girl again its been months, but i saw her on my friends myspace and left her a - lets go mets! comment. She replied back to just say soemthin bout the mets. But before that my friend mentioned to me that her friend wanted to aplogize for not replyign to me on myspace for so long cuz her computer was broken. The fact the my friend made a pt of tellin me this kinda makes me think her friend is interested.

Would it be ok to ask this girl to hang out? assumign i get some more messages goin with her and stuff.I feel like im insulting my friend bad if i do. Not sure if thats messed up or not. Cuz my friend really has a thing for me.

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

That's life. Your friend just has to accept it and get over it. You're not doing anything wrong.

Besides girls are better at seeing these things before they happen anyway. I would guess they already know what your intentions are (she did say that the other girl was sorry for not replying) and she may even have been fixing you two up in the first place.

Before they came to the Mets game, do you not think the conversation went like this:

"I'm bringing a friend, he's a guy but only a friend"
"Is he cute?"
.......
