having a corvette, motorcycle, boat, nice condo or house, being a bachelor....and just living life for the moment in Miami, or Hawaii somewhere near the beaches...driving the corvette down the road on a hot sunny day listening to reggae music and sipping on a slurpee........this will be my reality soon to come.

taking vacations to other countries, meeting new people, new girls, new cultures, new places....having fun like sky diving in australia or dune buggying in dubai or snowboarding in canada down some nice mountains...and you repeat this every year because you can...because we are free animals...we have no one else to worry about because we are young and no one is here to stop us beside ourselves. Being young and single is great.

if you have your life straight with goals in mind and a passion for what you want to do in life, great things will happen.

How many people in the US wished they'd have skipped a vacation or 2 and kept the house? IF you can save 10-20% of your income on that lifestyle,go ahead. MY goal is to have the same income retired as I do working

I swear to god, next time I hear someone repeat this bull**** to me I'm going to just punch them straight in the face. I have to put up with this for another 3 years don't I?

To answer the thread, it doesn't make me think "Alpha", but it is definitely living the good life. If you can do these things whilst maintaining a good professional life then I'd suggest going for it!

You are equating personal happiness with material possessions. Some people seek spiritual fulfillment rather than material gain.
The OP DJ didn't mention "spititual fulfillment". However Dude... It's a material world. When we go to college, get a job, and climb the corporate ladder... it isn't directly for "spiritual fulfillment". It's for getting the kind of nice things the OP described.

eg: a HB has a choice between 2 men...

a) A rich batchelor who drives a vet, has a great job, vacations in Vegas, Bermuda, other countries, and has a gorgeous home, and lots or material things in life.

or...

b) A attendent in the mens room, who is spiritually fulfulled with his meager life.

Tough choice huh? Does anyone think the HB is gonna say" I want to have my baby with that spiritually fulfilled mens room custodian!! LOL

my mom would. in a heartbeat.

but the guy is not right, in the sense that, it has nothing to do with spiritually but material wealth does not make you anymore of an alpha than being an aFC it just means you have ****.

the two do not coincide.

having an old ford ranger, bycicle, no boat, nice apartment, being a bachelor....and just living life for the moment in south LA, or any other decent place, anywhere in the world...driving the ranger down the road on a hot sunny day listening to reggae music and sipping on a slurpee........this could be my reality soon to come.

If that doesn't make you happy, then it's clear where your goal is.

Yeah, I was going to say the same. You don't need to make globs of money to do this stuff. Travel is not as expensive as people think. Now if you're talking about staying in five star hotels everywhere you go, sure, you need some serious scratch. But hell, I've traveled abroad for 2 months at a time sleeping in hostels for next to nothing. To me the value is in the experience, not the accommodation.

Any guy making $100,000/year can buy a corvette or a condo. Now when you buy that villa in Aix-en-Provence, then you can start bragging.

All that on 70-80k per year? You must not know the true cost of things. Have you any clue how much a condo costs in Miami? How about the property taxes on that condo? You'll be spending close to your entire income on just paying your mortgage, taxes, and utilities on your house/condo. Not to mention your corvette, motorcycle, and boat. Do you have any clue how much it costs just to get to Dubai? I have friends who are single and making more than 100k per year and couldn't afford to live that lifestyle.

There's nothing "alpha" about this. Any weakling with a big bank account can buy your dream.

I think any lifestyle where you're in charge of things is "alpha". You could be a farmer making $50k per year, but if that's what makes you happy, then I respect that more than some miserable investment banker shoveling coke up his nose every weekend, and buying random crap to prove his "alpha-ness".

Just look at it this way. If any d-bag with money can buy your dream, then you're dreaming about the wrong things.

If both guys have equal confidence, equal physical good-looks, and equal wit and humor, then yeah, she goes for the rich one.

But in all honesty, I have quite a few hippie friends who do 100x better with women than my corporate friends. These guys just know how to talk to girls....talk to everybody, really...and make you feel comfortable. And they're not on some big spiritual trip, they just kinda live the lives they WANT to live, rather than the lives that the dictionary would define as "successful."

People seem to equate money with confidence. But money is just a possession. All kinds of people have it. It certainly doesn't hurt your prospects of getting women, but confidence, charm, and friendliness will get you more women. The rich kids might find one hot woman and marry her, but the "funner" guys are out banging a variety of hot women and not being slaves to the corporate world for 60 hours per week.
