So this girl I know (my ex actually) mentions a show on next week and says it would be good and she'd really like to go, it just comes up in conversation, then I ask why she doesn't go and she says not enough money, but if she had enough she would go.

Heh, she knows for a fact that I have plenty of money. Anyway, not really sure why I'm posting this, I don't really need advice on it, I just found it an interesting thing that happened to me today.

Actually now I think about it maybe this isn't entirely useless... I need to think of a subtle way to mention this to the girl I'm interested in now, that I'm being cracked onto by others. Thats supposed to spark more interest right?

damn sometimes i wish i was smooth enough to get girls to take me out to shows for free in hopes of getting to maybe touch my sexy body!:D usually that only happens for the girl though.

to me it sounds like this girl wants to take her ex that still has feelings for her for a ride. i'd test her out by asking her to do something that was completely free.

Eh? Don't quite get most of that..

But asking her somewhere free would be a good way to test her, what are some good sort of free things to do?

Ah thats just for interests sake, I'm not really interested in her anymore anyway.

Lol, so she decides she is sick of the subtlety and decides to ask me bluntly if I want to go with her.. But of course I would still need to pay and figure out how to get there lol.

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.
