Is this a scam or not?

So due to my own dumbass fault I find myself with two futons as my only furniture. I'd really like to get a bed but need to do it on the cheap as my budget is stretched tight.

I found an ad on craigslist where this guy has queen size mattresses and box frames for like 150-200 for the set. I call him to see what its about, and he says he sells overstocked furniture. I ask him about his store hours and he says he sets appointments and to come by tomorrow at noon.

Does this sound scammy? Could I wind up dead in a warehouse? Anything I should look for in the quality of goods, and if I buy is there any way to ensure his delivery guys don't do some sort of bait and switch?

Dude, Ive boughten elk-meat on a pier at 8 pm. You will be fine, just to be safe though get a tazer/mace (mace is much cheaper, so get that).

Yeah, I probably am. I've never bought anything off of CL so I don't know what to expect.

As for Mace, thats illegal here in Michigan. Or so I've been told by a female friend who is looking into getting a Pit Bull.

That to me is amazing. Detroit's homocide rate is sky high and people cant even carry mace to protect themselves.

if u can get a handgun with a silencer, you can even get in and out w/o paying and nobody will hear you. Could be a better way to go

Plus its not like mace would do any good, everyone here is packing heat.

As far as that place goes, it turned out to be legit. I ended up buying a full size mattress and box set for 150. Granted its not a luxury bed but its sure as hell more comfy than a futon.
