According to Pook, as you think you shall become. Is the mind that strong? If I truly persuade myself that I am the goods and that all girls should be happy to even have a chance to be by my side, will I really start thinking that and it will become a natural state of mind, so natural that it will bring me a lot of self-confidence? And how can you convince yourself that, other then by repeating it to yourself countless times?

Yes, did you ever notice that if you lie to yourself about how something happened enough, you truly start to believe it? The more you hear something, you begin to accept it, and eventually actually believe it. Reading the affirmations before i go out does the same thing.

the more you hear it the more real it becomes

I think that belief is the core of your character and dictates how you live your life. Whether you believe in good or bad things, that is how you're going to perceive the world and yourself.

Of course you can always change your beliefs.

I'm not sure how you would keep that persistancy to put yourself in the state of mind you seek but at least start with being honest with yourself is a good start. Not saying that you should be realistic in a detrimental way but more of having a good solid ground to build your confidence.

Sure, but all that does is make you delusional, it doesn't mean it really DID happen.

Wow, talk about missing the point entirely...

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Believing something that's not true is delusional. The problem with most guys is that they DO believe things that are not true; things Hollywood and western society in general have pounded into them for years.

The "point" given that I responded to was idiotic, but the technique is useful for deprogramming purposes.

To a point it's true, but your mindset is only half the battle, action is the other. I mean I can sit here all day and visualize myself as a millionaire, but unless I actually get out there start a business or something, it's not going to happen. Success is a positive mindset + action.
