NYE is usually a let down. The weirdest house party I went to on NYE was one where mostly everyone was single and no one kissed at midnight. There was another year at some bar where at midnight some single gal didn't kiss me when I went in for the kiss. I was not happy about that.

I just didn't have it as much, and he'd tested me on more than one occasion for STDs and/or bloodwork. Nothing ever came back but he always approached my paranoia with "ah, I caught" this or that in the 70s, 80s (none of the permanent stuff). After he retired, I pulled back a bit because I really don't have a doctor for the past 3 years I'd be comfortable going in and getting an STI test with. He was the best in understanding my forays and not being married though he himself married and with a son who was struggling to become a doctor/dentist (not married). I think he'd wished he was still my age or younger, that's the feeling I got from him, that he'd wished he was still havin wild sex.
