"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

I’ve been eyeing this chick for a long time and she is very unapproachable. So I had to get through by becoming friends with her best friend. Towards the end of the school year, the best friend invited me to her house to hang out with her and the chick I’ve been eyeing. We all got drunk and we had a great time. By the end of the night I got her number. Come to find out, her best friend tells me later that week that she tried to get my phone number. She also came by my work to kill time? Obviously these are all good signs. When she came by my work, I asked if she wanted to have lunch later that week and she said sure. So I took her out to lunch and hung out for a little bit. Before I took her out, her friend warned me that she is extremely shy and never really had a boyfriend. She also explained that it wouldn’t be a good idea to touch her/kiss her. Lunch went great; she actually opened up and told me a lot of things that normally you don’t hear from someone on a first lunch/date. Later that night, the best friend called me and asked how it went. She later called her up and asked how it went. She said that she didn’t think it was a date. The best friend told me that she’s very naïve, updateable, and unpenetratable. I ignored her friend and still pursued. So I still kept in touch with her. I called her every once in a while. A couple weeks later, I ask her if she wanted to come with me and a couple of friends (that she kind of knows) to a music festival. She came along and while having dinner she was acting weird, somewhat ignoring me. I don’t know how to take that? Is she being very shy/nervous or just playing games. That whole night was awkward so I wasn’t too happy. Thinking that she wanted to go home, out of nowhere while I was dropping her off, she said she wanted to get ice cream. I’m so confused! After getting ice cream, we hung out at her house and talked.

One thing I noticed about her is that every time we talk on the phone; we both have a good closing like have a nice day or something along the lines. But in person, like when I’m dropping her off or I’m leaving her house, it’s very awkward. She acts strange like something went wrong. But when I talk to her on the phone a couple of days later, she’s normal. Plus, I’ve bought her dinner a couple of times and last time we had lunch, she bought mine. Should I take this as a bad sign? I know I am overanalyzing but is this chick being overly shy or trying to give me the hint that she only wants to be friends?? Like what kind of signs should I look for??? Knowing that she’s very shy, her body language to me seems that she’s always nervous/uncomfortable? What should I do at this point?

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

We dont' know if she's shy or interested, if you were doing sexual things or kissing her then you'd get your answer right away.

1.) Read this http://www.jbspencer.com/djb/\
Dont just read it but actually think about what your reading and why its been written.

2.) Quit thinking that ANY woman is unapproachable.

3.) Quit trying to game through her friend.

4.) Nervousness, or shyness usually means that the girl likes you. This isn't a guarantee but chances are she will not be the one to make the first move. Man up and go for it, which brings us to point 5.

5.) You will never know if she likes you if you dont try and progress towards at least a kiss close.

The least I can say is that if you dont try to at least move in for a kiss you will never really get anywhere. Even if you get rejected you will be much better off knowing were you stand than wondering were you stand. No one her knows the situation, you, or the girl but one of the best and most reliable ways to determine my status with girls has been to elevate before being be-friended.

Run a search on your "dillema", this situation has been brought up probably a million times. There is a lot of solid, field tested advice in the former posts that you can learn from.

Best of luck.
