"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

So I fell for a girl at work and it didn't work out too well.

despite initial IOIs, I asked her out and she said no regardless of whether she meant it or not.

i went NC but it's still a difficult atmosphere to be in the same room as her and to see her every day.

a friend offered me a job in another part of the country and i have decided to take him up on his offer. partly because of the girl and also because my current job has pretty much offered all its going to offer.

i feel a fresh start is necessary. but a part of me also hopes this girl will realise what she's going to miss and confess her undying love for me. lol.

if she doesnt, then fine. a fresh start is just what the doctor ordered. if she does, then, well...we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

If you WANT TO move, and take a new job, and enjoy a new environment then it sounds like a great opportunity. It could be great for you.

If you're doing it because some girl that you've never even dated rejected you, then it's one of the weakest things I've ever heard.

Your career must come first. If you don't believe me, tell her you'll stay and be unemployed.

She should be willing to get on a plane to see you. If she isn't, she doesn't like you that much.

well, exactly. the way i see it, i'm killing two birds with one stone (no pun intended).

a new career and we'll see how she truly feels about me.

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

See how she feels about you?

I'm sorry, is she your ex girlfriend from a 5-year relationship or just some girl who you asked on a date, and she rejected you?

The latter. ;-)

I already know how the former feels.

You have to take risks and gambles in life, so on that basis, I say go for it. Each and everyone of us needs a fresh start from time to time and you are no exception. If a friend of mine moved to another party and could me a job with him, I'd bite his hand off. I think you would have to be mad not to go for it.

Move, but don't tell her about it. Let her find out through the grape vine.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

How about instead of thinking, "What if I move away and she suddenly starts liking me," thinking, "What if I move away and meet a NEW girl who actually says 'YES' when I ask her out?"

She didn't want to go out with you, therefore she won't miss you when you leave. Go get the money!
