You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.
For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.
Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.
The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.
She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.
Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.
The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.
Attraction runs on a clock.
She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.
The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."
One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.
Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.
Co-sign. Especially the point about female vicinity - bars, clubs, yoga, salsa, etc.I have came to this conclusion as well. High status men dont approach often because they don't have to.
Its just too much effort, and the powerful just wouldn't put that much effort into a woman they do not know.
So my solutions to this are:
a.) Social Circle game
b.) Putting myself in the female vicinity being patient and going for the one who shows IOIs.
The female vicinity one is accomplished by doing things in your free time that women frequent such as yoga class, dance class, karaoke nights etc etc.
Its not low value to approach every once in a while but yes, after a certain age/skill level it seems low value.
** With that being said there is nothing wrong with an occasional grocery store meat section approach.
Most guys accidentally kill attraction before they even speak. They assume they need a bigger bank account, a better physique, or smoother lines. They miss the point.
Female desire operates on a specific set of psychological triggers. Break them, and you're invisible. Follow them, and you become magnetic.
I learned this the hard way. Years of freezing up. Getting friend-zoned. Watching other guys walk away with the girl I wanted. Then I discovered a set of 22 simple rules that rewired my entire approach.
Sorry, I thought the purpose was to get men comfortable talking to men? By that defintion, yes it'd make you low value if you can't talk to women, but that's part of the practice, no?PUAs that advocate for mass approaching at malls, cinemas, parks etc. Is this the mark of a low value man?
But if you approach her isn't she in control? I just feel like A1 men don't need to approach that much. And when you do approach its just Hi with a smile. Anymore effort than that is too much for me at this point in my life. You guys have fun waiting for girls to approach you. If I see a chick I want, I'm going to approach. Because I like to be in control of the situation. At least in the very beginning.
Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.
Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?
You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.
Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
Must haves for girls to approach you:All I know is it really annoys me when a few of my friends still to this day talk about "sarging"
I guess it depends how you approach. While I found it fascinating at the time, I'm sure if I read The Game again today and listened to Neil Strauss advocating you "approach HB7 and neg the target while your wing DHV's the fat girl with the cube" it would seem utterly ridiculous to me.
I'm interested in getting to a level where women approach me.
Good stuff.Must haves for girls to approach you:
Well Dressed.
Master of Confident Body Language
Always smiling/smirking
Exquisite grooming.
Some type of muscle definition
Quiet Demeanor
Always Kind
Be laiiiiiiiid back.. almost stoner chill
Yup. I never was a loud life of the party guy. Im the guy who chills back and doesn't really say much.Good stuff.
I've had intermittent success with women - the periods where I've done well went something like this. You're right about the quiet demeanor. Something about the stoic alpha that works if you do it right.
Gotta do it right though. Some guys just come off as "shy" which is no good or anti-social which is terrible.Yup. I never was a loud life of the party guy. Im the guy who chills back and doesn't really say much.
When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.
Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.
Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.
The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.
