Is it possible to succeed in cold approach if you NEVER get eye contact IOI from womem?

Most pickup advice tends to center around saying you should wait for a girl to make and sustain eye contact and maybe smile before you start a pickup. That way she preselects you and youre already in.

But what if this never happens? Ever? I always figured this is just **** that happens to tall white guys so I should forget about it. I just ignored this nonsense and kept going.

But in retrospect every guy I've ever known who's done well with women in any context has been at least good looking enough to get sustained eye contact or girls lingering around him in bars/clubs.

I literally can name no exceptions.

So my question is: if you're too short/ugly/nonwhite to be getting these kinds of IOIs is there any point in even bothering with cold approach?

Ive had my own rare successes with cold approach despite no IOIs but that was more when I was younger and I could afford the time to go out 3 times a week. Nowadays the amount of volume I'd have to plow through seems prohibitive.

Anyone getting success without any IOIs ever?

You know, I notice I get a fair amount of eye contact from females of all ages, some of them even smile at me. It seems a little odd to me, because I figure I'm just average looking. But I don't think all those girls are interested, I don't think they're all IOIs. Some are probably just looking to check if it's someone worth looking at or not. And some are probably thinking "Look at that nice old man, he reminds me of my grandpa" lol.

But I have a long time girlfriend so I can't answer your cold approach question. I do talk to random girls in my vicinity when I can, but I don't do it based on eye contact. I do it more based on whether or not I have something I want to say.

If you are super ugly than no probably not. The guy would have to take a good look at himself and be honest. If he isn't ugly and simply average.....than it's a numbers game really.
