May 26 to August? 3 months, 25 lbs? 2 lbs a week? I'm currently 110 lbs. at 5'11". I hate hwen people ***** about being 140 and saying "Ecto to the core... I can't gain weight." STFU, I have it worse than you do. I've been lifting on and off for about a whole year, and gained about 10 lbs. If I train consistently, how long would you guess it takes to get to 150, 160, 170?
you can do it.
I'm bulking right now myself. I started on April 22 and have since gone from 134 to 139. It may not seem like much, but 3lbs of that are lean muscle.
Of course it's possible. I'm not a specialist at any of this, but from experience, I know that you have to plan your meals, your intake, your workouts, and be consistent!
Remember that it's 70% diet/rest and 30% workouts.
Yes, eat a lot. But watch what you eat also, very specifically...be careful that you do not gain too much fat. Keep track of your weight, body fat, and your workouts. You want to know what's working and if you're making progress.
Get at least 8hrs of sleep a night.
I could say more, but I'd be giving away stuff I've learned from a book I bought...
...I would highly recommend purchasing the
Anthony Ellis program. Pook, one of the posters on this site used it, as have many others. It really helps guide you with workouts and scheduling/planning.
My personal goal is to get to 180lbs and 11% BF or lower, by June 2007. I'm 139lbs and 11% BF right now. That would be a little more than 40lbs in over a year. It's definitely achievable.
You want to gain weight. Do it the right way, and be consistent. Don't worry so much about results, but worry about getting in a rhythm. Results will be inevitable.
good luck
