"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

I was having lunch with this 20 year old junior a few weeks ago, and she made a snide remark about a guy we both know that he "talks too much" etc etc. I didn't agree or disagree, I just let her go on talking behind the guy's back. He's got a good reputation, but she seems to despise him for no reason. She's always been fond or attracted to me since I first met her 2 years ago. She's boring as I am, quiet, Smart, very hard studier, straight A's, but accident prone, clumsy, non-athletic, just a nerd, but exotic looking, with a nice bod. I like her name too. It would go well with my last name.

Should I have called her out on talking about the other guy? That she must like him because he "bothers" her? Should I have said her name like her father might, and then proceed to tell her that she shouldn't talk about people behind their backs, that there's no reason to gossip? I feel as though, because of the age gap between us at 14 years, that I'm Jeremy Irons in the movie "Lolita" trying to be tender with and teach her.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

There's always a reason: She's probably into the guy. But you were right not to say anything, it would only add fuel to the fire and accelerate the impending LJBF.

I have experienced this firsthand - I have put a girl in her place for gossiping (talking smack) about someone, and all the girls profoundly respect me for that.

The reason why is because girls always talk smack about other girls, and again, girls want in a guy what they themselves lack. They want a guy who does not backstab others, so it is very impressive when a guy defends another person's honor like that.
