Is Instagram needed to convey status?

I’ve actually had one person I met through OLD say to me that my lack of participation in social media was a red flag for her. She ended up being one of those people who lived in her phone - like textbook short attention span issues, except when it came to her phone.

I swear she’d post the most inane Shiite to social like “I’m making waffles”, or “I didn’t wake up feeling too well”, and consistently check back to see who liked her posts. And this was a Gen Xer.

Waste of whatever surplus intellect she possessed, ended up walking away from that.

I’m much too private a person to post every inane detail of my life or ANY detail of my life for everyone to see. I just don’t get this need some folks have. Are their lives really that devoid of anything else?

They are like an squirrel's attention span when it just found two nuts and suddenly has a brain melt.

Probably shouldn't come as a surprise that a guy who thinks it is funny that his buddy OD'd would react negatively to your list that included "Honor, Respect, Courage." Likely foreign concepts.

As to the topic - no. I have never had instagram and have done well without having it. Nothing more than a silly time sink that serves to heap validation onto women.

I'm not a fan of Knight of Roses, but those values "Honor, Respect, Courage, Integrity, etc" (values that I cherish too) won't get you laid with hot girls if you're 5.3 tall, broke, bald and ugly (all 4 = no status by default).
It's just the way it is.

I don't disagree with you that they don't help you get women. But the original premise was "what were the 4 pillars of masculinity." They are certainly masculine traits. Not everything is about pvssy - contrary to what one might walk away believing after reading this forum.

one thing is to be a good leader , and a totally different thing is to be good with the ladies

you do not have to be a leader to do good with girls , you just have to know your interest and what you are after and push it into that direction . Anything else is just extra
