I don’t think social skills is the reason. A lot of men on Sosuave seem to write coherent threads, I’m sure when they go on dates they dress normal, look normal, talk normal. They don’t say anything abnormal or offensive during the date. Sure alot of men could be better shape.

I don’t get the girls they way some players on here do, but it’s basically, along with being normal, height and hair for attraction. I think it’s also one the reasons men don’t care anymore, it’s like “if I’m not 6’0, why even try?”

I have been disrespected, humiliated, and emotionally abused via approaching strangers and using dating websites/swipe apps over the years. The treatment is unreal and inhumane. If I were a dog and I was treated as poorly as I have been in approaching and in using tech methods, I would be in one of those ASPCA commercials.

Even with all of this bad treatment, I have managed to get laid a considerable amount. I've interacted with such a large number of women over the years.

Pro athletes have not had to endure the mistreatment from women that I have endured.

I think it would have been substantially worse at 5'5".

I was a sexual non-factor during my first 2 years of high school due to height. I reached 5'7"-5'8" late in the 2nd semester of sophomore year and that's when I started to notice I was taller than the girls for the first time.

I was mostly ignored by females until I reached sufficient height. Losing those first 2 years of high school was not easy.

Let's also remember that this happened in the late 1990s in the earlier days of the internet. Dating apps didn't exist, dating websites were still stigmatized back then and were not used by high schoolers, and social media did not exist.

By the beginning of junior year of high school, I was around 5'8.5"-5'9" and I had a respectable height. Right around then is when I thought my height made me sexually viable. By the end of junior year, I had reached 5'10" and that's my adult height.

In Grades 9-10 (and even expanding back to Grades 7-8), there was nothing there. No interest from anyone at all.

Grades 11-12 at sufficient height involved interest from more mediocre females but not the most attractive ones. I was still also in the process of realizing that the beta male nice guy traits that my mom raised me to have were going to be a failure in the mating environment. It takes a while to kill off the beta traits.
