I agree that if there is no *context* (i.e. at a club) - girls will screen for height so much more - but luckily in most situations there is at least some context

I am 5'6 and based on my personal experience girls who are like 5'3 and under are *fine* with my height - girls who are like 5'4 - 5'6 have no issues either though they *prefer* I be a bit taller - and girls who are taller than me, definitely wish I was taller. Luckily, for some reason I really prefer really short girls cause they are cuter, so height is not that big of an issue for me.

But I agree, game TRUMPS looks - I did get a 5'8 HB9 once and that was cool, but I did have that aforementioned *context.*

The truth is, every man has something to overcome. It could be lack of height, or it could be something else like a bad family background, economic recession, child out of wedlock etc. The bottom line is, to make sure you overcome whatever it is in your life.
I am really sorry bro as I’m over 6ft but I am only wired to like shorter women. I have zero attraction to women over about 5’6. They either seem stringy or more masculine. Current wife is 5’1 lol. Apologies for stealing your available lady-stock.

I always wondered, I got a pretty regulation schlong. For race I am bang average.

I’m 6’2 and 220 lbs. I wonder if I was 5’6 and ripped it would look huge.

The point here is that the 6'2" guy was a BOYfriend, but the 5'3 was just a BESTfriend.

Gee, do you think he would rather have been her BOYfriend than her BESTfriend?
No, the point is that she needs a provider/protector boyfriend. You want to be that boyfriend, fine, but I'm not interested into being anyones mule/pitbull.

Meh, height is not something worth complaining about. The simple fact that there is no way to get taller aside from the funky lift shoes.
What about leg-lengthening?

Height has been a long term issue for men.

I reached my current 5'10" height around age 17 in 2000. From roughly 2000-2009, I noticed that my height seemed to be less of an issue in my mating environment experience as compared to the 2010s-2020s. In the 2000s, it wasn't considered that good but it hardly ever seemed to be a dealbreaker because I was taller than most women at 5'10".

What happened?

Tech-based dating websites got de-stigmatized during the 2000s and more women started to use that format for starting interactions. In 2012-2013, Tinder took off, changing tech-based dating from mainly websites to phone apps.

With both dating websites in the late 2000s/early 2010s and swipe apps post 2012, women started to experience more abundance.

When fewer women were using dating website/app technology, an average height 5'10" man was more acceptable to a larger percentage of women who overall had fewer options. With greater abundance, more women started to have the attitude that an average height 5'10" man was something that they didn't really want.

While I have seduced plenty of women since my height became perceived as less desirable in the early 2010s, it has made things more difficult for me.
Its insane that 5'10 is considered short to US women. I am 5 foot 9 ( 5 foot 10 on a good day). In a sane country this would be considered average. That is a regular guys height lol. In most other nations 5 foot 10 is perfectly fine.

5'9"-5'10" men are average men in the USA.

Rollo Tomassi has said many times that average women are not interested in average men in Western mating environments.

When women have such abundance, anything that isn't elite is trash to them. This is hypergamy in action. Most Millennial and Gen Z White women have had ridiculously delusional standards.

The insane part is allowing women to emotionally influence men into caring about their height. It's just as ridiculous to comment on the size of a woman's feet. You may not like a woman with big feet and prefer dainty feet, but you're not going to tell her she has to do something about her big feet, like cutting off her toes.

What about leg-lengthening?
It's insanely submissive behaviour for a man to be so insecure about their height that they go through an expensive and extremely painful procedure to gain a few inches and perpetually weakening their legs to the point where they have to be careful not to overburden their legs with running, because the stretched out bones might not be able to handle that.

Who but a crazy person who do something like that?

"They did a study with woman to see if height matter more than anything else. They lined up 5 gives of various heights. Guy number 1 was the tallest (at least 6ft) and he was a school teacher. Guy # 2 was a pediatrician and much shorter. I dont remember the rest but every girl picked guy number one. The the administrator would reveal less attractive information about the taller guy and more attractive information about the shorter guy and even though the girls admitted the shorter guy was more attractive on paper, the would still date the taller guy."

^^^This comes as no surprise, but it's nowhere near as bleak for short guys as they paint it to be.

If a woman is going to pick a guy out of a lineup based on sight alone, she'll pick the most attractive. "More attractive" information is a bit of a misnomer, because biographical information is not going to excite a woman. You can be a highly esteemed, highly respected man, but if a woman doesn't know who you are, it's all heresay to her.

Now, if the shorter man happened to be someone with RECOGNIZABLE social proof in this lineup, say, Tom Cruise, the results would have been completely different.

In fact, if the shorter man was simply someone the women recognized as a high status male in their OWN social circle, the results would likely have been different.

Also, if the women were given the chance to INTERACT with the two men and the shorter guy had SIGNIFICANTLY better game, the results would probably be different. In my book, status trumps looks, and game trumps looks but not necessarily status.

Finally, if the tables were turned and the WOMEN were in a lineup and had to "sell themselves" to the shorter guy, they would ALL be competing for him. Context matters in attraction.

All this really says is that if you're a short guy, you're going to have fewer options at a meat market type club where you don't know anyone and may have to work a bit harder in life. Big deal.

In real life, you're not a man in a lineup.
I love how u ended that: "in real life, you're not a man in a lineup". That's the thing about these studies. Real life never occurs in a vacuum. Real life is so much more dynamic but most guys will let themselves be conned by these stupid studies. One of my old friends was 5'4 but had a lot of sex. He did have to work harder I admit but getting laid wasn't that tough.

People who think this matters to a large degree don't actually associate with women on a regular basis.

It matters, until it doesn't matter.

Ie, if you told a woman you are 5'8" via text she may disqualify you before even going on a date. However if you go on the date and she likes you and then you tell her you are 5'8" in person she usually won't care.

It only matters until they choose to ignore it because they like you. Now, will some women still want a guy who is taller. Sure, but no different than some who want a guy who is rich or a guy who is in great shape, etc.

Never confuse a woman's "perfect guy" with the guys she actually date who many times are far away from what she "thinks she wants" because of other things she likes which makes those not matter as much.

Humans rarely, if ever, become deeply invested or enmeshed in anything that's simply serviceable. Who the hell is eager to patronize a restaurant where the food is anything less than superb, or shell out a few bucks on a comedy show that's more Hannah Gadsby than Rodney Dangerfield?

Since about '16, we've all been feigning surprise over the fact that mate selection works the exact same way. Neither women nor men find schleps especially desirable... What's earth shattering about such a revelation?

I am 5'5'' and my ex was between 6ft and 6'2'' and was obsessed with is body..definately the guy any typical girl would feel "safe" around..yet i didnt not feel safe with him at all. He was egotistical, arrogant and selfish and he seemed like they type of guy that wouldnt risk his own safety to protect a woman...

Gee, do you think he would rather have been her BOYfriend than her BESTfriend?
The 5'3 guy dodged not just a bullet, but a f-cking cruise missile... Ending up with a chick who's no longer a teenager, yet still operates primarily on how he she FEELS at any given moment/Doesn't recognize that the capacity to not be slaves to our emotions is what separates us from the beasts of the field, would've been the source of nothing but agony in his life

Actually, I prefer the standard statuesque 5'8" Playboy model - but such women seem to be heightists.

There's no shortage of smaller guys who are successfully snagging these sorts of women. If you continue telling yourself "It's nigh impossible for me", this will be a self-fulfilling prophecy

Many men here have testified to just how minute a problem this really is. Now, it's up to the Negative Normands to take the wisdom they've been gifted to heart, instead of continuing to grouse over the unfairness of life

Such antics are no less unsexy than 800 pound Intersectional Feminists who spend their every waking moment screeching over so-called "Pretty Privilege", and taking the piss out of Syd Sweeney for the adoration that's heaped upon her, rather than doing what's required to get men of their own. Just as it's well within their power to slim down, it's well within a man's power to
9:23-9:33 to accentuate what he has

Very very interesting, but as I've heard IRL short guys, when you're out in public when there are many people in one specific place, like doing a walk, going for the cinema, party, etc, you can feel the thing.

Never confuse a woman's "perfect guy" with the guys she actually date who many times are far away from what she "thinks she wants" because of other things she likes which makes those not matter as much.
This is the real deal.
It would be awesome to explore it more.
Imprinting plays a major role in this

Easy in modern society, the percentage of the true women left is becoming less and less?
