"The Kiss of Death Mistake"

You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?

Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.

One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.

Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

went out to a bar last night. Met a chick, we talked for a good bit.

This is where I need some perspective on our conversation/interest level etc:

Me: I'd like for us to hang out again. May I have your phone number?
(She smiled)
Her: Let's meet tomorrow at the Starbucks at 9:30am.
Me: alright, I'll see you at 9:30am.

Fast forward to today--

Her: I'm surprised you showed up.
Me: why?
Her: I don't know, it just is.
Me: I'm surprised you showed up.

We talked for a good bit, we both had to leave...

Me: I'd like to see you again. May I have your phone number?
(She had a huge smile)
Her: time will tell.
Me: alright, LA is a huge city. How are we going to bump into each other again?
Her: you know where I usually hangout now. If it's meant to be, we will see each other again

She was raised in the country side, so I don't know if it's how they date out there.

My observations:

Genuine
Nice
Honest

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

Chalk it up to experience. Next time don't ask for her number. Tell her to give it to you or hand her your phone & get it from her.

At the moment you are left sniffing around her hangouts for a glimpse of her.

Seriously?

she couldn't be any less interested, I bet she'll never go back there

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Judge by actions, not words.

Anyone who's interested will want to be able to contact you. Countryside, city, doesn't matter where. I say move on to some other girl who backs her smile up with actions that express high interest on you.

Toss this one away. Ask yourself, would she do this to Lebron James? Hell no.

Why overanalyze? The only time you overanalyze is when you're a senior analyst of a fortune 500 company. Any other time is just beating yourself up for no reason.

All she wants is for you to chase her. Don't do that Super Mario sh*t and run through 8 worlds for her. Spend your energy elsewhere and on interested women. Delete her number. Block it too if it helps you forget. Court's orders.

Case closed.

Guys, remember: for every girl who things will work out with, there will be about 10 who things almost work out with.

She was iffy about you at first, probably already had plans to be at Starbuck's and didn't think you'd ever go to meet a girl who won't give her number out (a bad idea - once there are no digits, you cease all future pursuit).

Once she saw you in person she realized you definitely weren't the guy for her (this happens a LOT, they have to see us in a different light).

This is a girl who you might seduce months from now if you hit the gym every day in the meantime.

This is why I only text back girls if I get a thank-you note after our date. It doesn't matter how good you think it went, it's about whether she is reaching out to you. This girl is not reaching out to you.

Sounds like she's trying to put the leash around your neck and drag you along. Also I'm sniffing out she has a low grade boyfriend or a few OLD'S or orbiters and theirs not much you can do to change that quickly unless her interest level was through the roof. If that were the case you would have had her the first night or the second day in the Starbucks bathroom. Your observations seem to be coming from your second head. If it were me I would not invest anymore than maybe one more time. The more you go to that Starbucks and don't get her number or at least keno, the deeper into friend zone you go.

Interest women is such a simple quality but SOOO IMPORTANT. They should want to "help" us, they should LIKE helping us. They should also make efforts much of the time.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.
