"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

I've made it a resolution this year to MAN UP. After years of being lazy, scared of rejection, and asocial in general, I'm going out by myself, getting numbers, working out, and am starting to enjoy life.

I still have a way to go, however. The other day at work I had a revelation. An older woman and I got into an argument and she told me in an offhand way that she wonders how I even got here (meaning how could I be born). Now this is a woman who's never happy. We're getting bonuses every quarter and she *****es and moans about how her's is an "insult". She's loud and obnoxious to the extreme. I ignored her at the time, but over the weekend, the more I thought about it, the angrier I got. It was a HUGE insult.

What it boils down to was that she has no respect for me. I also find a parallel between her behavior and that of lots of women that I meet: brush offs, offhanded comments that are truly reprehensible. And of course, being raised as a 'nice' guy I wouldn't defend myself for fear of....well, I don't know what.

Now that I've been going out by myself a lot, I've been using the "Oh, I was supposd to meet someone here tonight," line when I open with women. Of course, 'someone' never shows, and after some good convo, the women I meet always bring it up again: "Looks like your 'friend' stood you up," --instantly lowering her respect for me.

I've gotten my share of numbers, but rarely have gotten past the first or second dates. A big reason is this lack of respect I seemed to get from lots of ladies. Not just dating, other guys wouldn't respect me, either.

No more of this crap....I'm tired of it.
If for no other reason than to get it out of my system, I'm calling this bull**** when I see it. Besides, there's always people who are miserable, and want everyone else to be as miserable as they are.

In the meantime, I'm finished ranting and am heading out to get more numbers.

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

Exactly, man. Thing is, I'm pissed at her for making the comment, yet I'm also pissed at myself for taking it without chewing her ass out.
She's a bitter old hag who loves to spread misery. **** her.
