For most of us, the stuff in the documentary isn’t really anything new. This is more so for normies or people who haven’t seen any of this content before.

The documentary does a good job exposing how many of the popular manosphere content creators are just grifters in it for the money. One of them, HYStikkytokky, even admitted as much. I think the craziest part for me is seeing the same men dunk on OnlyFans content creators, but then turn around and work with them even living with them to promote their smut. The hypocrisy is glaring.

Where the documentary fails, in my opinion, is addressing the root of the problem things like feminism, men being ostracized over the last two decades, and what some see as unrealistic dating standards among women. Instead, it mainly focuses on the grifters.

Personally, I rarely watch manosphere content these days because it doesn’t feel organic anymore. I truly feel sorry for young men. As a guy in his 40s who is still dating (yes, including younger women my last plate was 28), I understand the struggles they’re going through. But a lot of these grifters are preaching nonsensical messages that the average guy can’t realistically meet for example, ideas like one-sided monogamy or the whole “high value man” trope.

Anyway, what are your thoughts on the documentary?

I haven’t watched the documentary and probably never will, but I see manosphere grifters the same way I see psychics, prosperity-gospel evangelists, or MLM schemes since they often target vulnerable people. You also see a lot of hypocrisy. For example, Andrew Wilson from the Whatever podcast promotes the idea of the “traditional man,” yet his wife has three kids from different fathers from a previous marriage and he’s the one supporting them. You see similar contradictions with people like Rich Cooper promoting a certain lifestyle while dating a single mom. I wrote about Andrew Wilson on the linked thread below.

At the same time, I understand the appeal. A lot of men feel lost and maybe they’re invisible to women, recently divorced, lonely, or just trying to figure out what it means to be a man. The problem is that there are very few resources for men, and society often mocks them for asking for help.

The irony is that many of these communities follow the same formula as other ideological and political movements like the third-wave feminism where they blame society, create a clear enemy, and portray followers as victims fighting the system. This narrative connects with struggling men, and once the emotional hook is there, it becomes easy to sell them courses, coaching, or subscriptions.

I thought that documentarian (whom I never heard of before) did a pretty lousy job.

All he did was stand there and let them talk while flashing them looks of incredulity.

He didn't seem to be any different than youtubers whose main angle is slamming other youtubers.

The doc just seemed to be a longer, better edited youtube vid of some guy slamming other youtubers while pretending to have the higher ground.

I gave it a 5/10, but that's the documentarian's style he doesn't interject if you have seen some of his other work he let's people talk
I wish he would have done more research not just on the people he was interviewing but the space as well
Cause it was very surface-level

I didnt see it but I have strong reasons to believe that a documentary on epstein clients will be more lenient toward them than this one on men who dare to reject the programming from the globohomo agenda.

Sosuave 2002*-2012

I think the old sosuave had some jewels and nuggets espeically during the era of Mr fingers, Pook and Snowplowman. A lot of the stuff is still very relevant today the last 5 years sosuave has gone of a cliff into incel-onlyfansdom lol

It is VERY refreshing to see. All i see and hear about thses days is feminism, so it's a refreshing change to hear the likes of Justin Waller, Andrew Tate..all these guys. They may take it to the extreme, especially HStiktokker, but at least it's a change. I think HS has been exposed for what he is...he has basicaaly admitted that a lot of what he says is just for ATTENTION. However, i do believe these guys are right about the matrix and a lot of other things and i HUGELY respect them for coming out and saying these things. At least they are showing what women can really be like..fresh and fit is eccentric but it shows the other side of the coin to feminism.

By the way HS tiktolly just cooked piers morgan.

I'm pretty sure any smart man knows what the documentary from Netflix of all places will be about. Just a slam piece on why the redpill is bad. If anything, the fact they made it means the teachings are working. They're afraid and threatened.

The old Roosh site before the purge was the best place for wisdom and advice.
